Time for my own Detox today..

We need to look after own health aswell as our patients.

The systemic points – also known as the sunnah points – are three places that form a triangular shape on the back. The top systemic point, found between the shoulder blades, is called al-kahil. In Arabic, al-kahil means the upper part of a person’s back. As its name suggests, this point is located at the junction of C7, which is the last cervical (neck) vertebra, and T1, which is the first vertebra of the thoracic (chest region) spine.

The other two points – often referred to as al-akhdain – are located on either side of the thoracic spine, usually around the scapulae (shoulder blades). Despite layers of bone that may be in between, this position allows toxins to be drawn directly from the lungs and heart.

Does Fire Cupping hurt ?

No, there is no pain associated with fire cupping. In fact, it can actually put you in a peaceful, almost meditative state. After the treatment it’s normal to see rings of bruises on your skin, although it won’t feel bruised.

The marks will go away within a few days to a week, but the healing effects will remain for much longer than the marks.

Fire Cupping is a tried and true aspect of Traditional Chinese Medicine that has been used for thousands of years. As a natural way to increase blood flow, release tension and promote general wellness in your body, it’s a great technique to add to your holistic health and self-care routine.

Feels amazing..Give it a try.

Does this look familiar?

Yes we can treat varicose/ spider veins. Natural remedies is always the most effective way.

Varicose veins are large, swollen veins that often appear on the legs and feet. They happen when the valves in the veins do not work properly, so the blood does not flow effectively.

For those who are wondering what the fuss is all about, Hijama ( Wet cupping ) is all about circulation! It is bringing the blood back to the areas which are difficult to reach by sucking the skin into a cup, releasing the tissue under the skin which wraps around the muscles.

The process involves placing the cups on the skin, and pulling them away from the body to promote blood flow and relax the muscles.

Benefits

It relieves pain
It relieves cough, cold and allergy symptoms
It promotes relaxation
It can treat carpal tunnel syndrome
It provides an anti-aging effect
It relieves digestive disorders
It improves skin-related conditions
It heals injuries faster by inducing inflammation
It detoxifies the body

Poor circulation is associated with toxic build up, which then leads to various health problems. Hijama improves stagnation and carries away all the toxins and dead cells, expelling them in an all-natural way.

Give it a try you will love the benefits.

Why should I fast two hours before Hijama ( wet cupping) treatment ?

Hijama (wet cupping) is a treatment that involves the removal of waste from the body, during which a small amount of blood is extracted. Similarly to blood tests, it has a relative physiological impact on the body and its systems. Unlike other blood work processes, this profound effect is what makes it such an effective treatment.

Fasting for a few hours also has a distinct influence over bodily functions. Therefore, understanding how both affect the body is crucial knowledge for anyone planning to combine the two. Patients who have had a fasting blood test may be more familiar with the accompanying symptoms, such as dizziness, fatigue, headaches and occasionally even nausea.

We ask patients to avoid eating for approximately two hours before their treatment with a second reason in mind. The human body increases blood flow to its digestive system via the superior mesenteric artery to help break down ingested food, resulting in less blood being carried to other bodily tissues. When deprived of food, the body becomes able to redirect blood from its digestive tract to other cellular structures, particularly areas in need of repairing. Fasting also enables the movement of cholesterol deposits that line the walls of blood vessels, allowing excess amounts to be removed along with other toxins during treatment.

Hope that helps.

What is Hijama ( wet cupping)?

Wet cupping is used to treat pain, ease scar tissue deep within the muscles and connective tissues, and reduce swelling and muscle knots. We also use wet cupping to minimize circulating toxins by drawing them into the skin where they are more easily removed.

What is dry cupping?

The suction in the cups pulls against the skin and does not involve puncturing the skin. The dry cupping can be used to massage through pain. ( feels amazing afterwards, honestly! )

What is soft tissue & why is it important?

The soft connective tissue located just under the skin, is a white membrane that wraps & connects the muscles, bones, nerves & blood vessels of the body.

Soft tissue is also called FASCIA.

At times, the muscles & fascia are not stretched enough and they become stuck or tear which results in soft tissue injuries or adhesions ( knots ).

The outcome?

You will have restricted muscle movement, pain, soreness & reduced flexibility.

We use the GRASTON technique as a form of manual therapy, not as painful as it looks & you will reap the benefits of the treatment after!

Book your treatment and feel amazing!
