Appointment Availability and Access to Services
The surgery offers a combination of pre-bookable and same-day appointments.
These are available as either telephone consultations or direct face-to-face appointments, depending on clinical need and availability.
Once we reach safe clinical capacity for the day, we may need to signpost patients with same-day medical concerns to alternative services to ensure timely and appropriate care.
We always aim to direct patients to the most suitable service for their condition. For instance, if your condition is appropriate for the Pharmacy First scheme, we may recommend this route. It is an excellent service that helps preserve GP appointments for patients with more complex or urgent needs.
We have pre-bookable appointments available for the following week and beyond, well within the recommended two-week timeframe for non-urgent medical issues.
Please remember that the surgery is not an emergency service. In many cases, a pre-bookable appointment will be clinically appropriate and sufficient for your needs.
Additionally, all GP practices are contractually required to reserve a number of appointment slots that can only be booked by NHS 111. These are intended to support access for patients who have contacted 111 and been assessed as needing to see a GP urgently.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
