You may have started seeing the term PMOS appearing alongside, or instead of, PCOS.

PMOS stands for Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome, and the proposed terminology aims to better reflect the whole-body nature of the condition.

Because for many women, PCOS has never been just about ovaries.

It can affect:
- hormones
- metabolism
- insulin regulation
- skin and hair
- mood and energy
- long-term health

The conversation around naming is evolving, but the goal is clearer understanding, better recognition, and more personalised support for women living with the condition.

At PCOS Clinics, our focus remains the same:
helping women understand what’s happening in their bodies and supporting them with evidence-based care that looks at the bigger picture.

When I was first diagnosed with PCOS, I remember how confusing it all felt.

🤔 I was trying to piece things together on my own—reading different advice, second-guessing everything, not really knowing where to start.

Since then, I’ve trained as a Nutritional Therapist, Health Coach and Functional Medicine Practitioner… and I now work with women with PCOS every day.

This course is what I wish I’d had back then.

I’ve brought together the foundations I know actually make a difference—based on both my own experience and what I see working with clients in clinic.

📖 Inside PCOS Essentials, I walk you through:

• what’s going on in your body
• what can help (and what often makes things worse)
• where to focus first, so you’re not trying to do everything at once

It’s completely self-paced, so you can work through it in a way that fits your life.

If you’re currently trying to manage your PCOS on your own, this is a much clearer place to start.

🌐 You can find out more on our website. I’ve dropped the link in the comments.

💬 PCOS is often discussed in relation to hormones and fertility.

🦴However, researchers are increasingly interested in the relationship between PCOS and long-term bone health.

Bone health is influenced by several factors including hormones, metabolic health and lifestyle habits.

One of our latest articles explores this topic in more detail.

✏️ Newsletter Sign Up

Most of the women I speak to about PCOS aren’t doing nothing.

They’re already trying.

They’ve changed how they eat (a few times).

📖 They’ve read articles. Followed advice. Bought supplements that may or may not have helped.

And still feel like they’re piecing it all together on their own.

That’s why I put together a monthly email.

Not a programme. Not a plan to follow perfectly.

📨 Just something useful landing in your inbox:

Recipes, practical nutrition tips, things I’m reading or finding helpful, that you can come back to when you’ve got the headspace.

No constant sales emails. No pressure to do everything.

If it helps, great. If not, you can ignore it.

Many women with PCOS feel frustrated when weight loss feels harder than expected.
One factor that is often overlooked is muscle mass.

Muscle tissue plays an important role in glucose regulation and insulin sensitivity, which are both important aspects of metabolic health.

In one of our latest articles we explore why building muscle may be particularly beneficial for women with PCOS. Read it on our website. Link in our bio 🔗⬆️

🎨 Stress can influence PCOS symptoms in several ways, including hormone signalling, sleep and inflammation.

💖 Taking time for relaxing activities can therefore play an important role in overall wellbeing.

✏️ Creative activities such as drawing, painting or journalling can be helpful ways to unwind.

🌍 Today is World Art Day, a celebration of creativity and its role in health and wellbeing.

What creative activity helps you relax?

😵‍💫 If you’re currently managing your PCOS on your own…
you don’t have to do it alone.

🧩 For so many women, it can feel like you’re trying to piece everything together yourself; working out what helps, what doesn’t, and who to trust.

That’s exactly why I created the PCOS Clinics Community.

☺️ It’s a free, private space just for women with PCOS;
somewhere you can learn, ask questions, and feel properly supported.

🤓 Inside the group, we share:

– Simple, PCOS-friendly recipes
– Clear, practical advice you can actually apply
– Monthly live sessions where you can ask me anything

🤔 And if there’s something you’d rather not ask publicly, you can always send it in privately ahead of time.

I know how confusing it can feel, I’ve been there myself.

And having the right support around you can make all the difference.

👂🏻 If you’d like that kind of support, you’re very welcome to join us at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1098101238030333

🐟 If you’re looking for a simple meal idea that supports metabolic health with PCOS, this Mediterranean salmon and roasted vegetable tray bake is a great option.

🤓 It provides:
• high-quality protein
• healthy fats
• fibre from vegetables

🌞 Salmon is also a natural source of vitamin D.

Many women with PCOS feel they need to completely avoid foods like chocolate.
But nutrition for PCOS is rarely about strict restriction.

What matters more is balance and consistency over time.

For example:
• pairing sweet foods with protein or healthy fats
• eating regular meals to support blood sugar balance
• focusing on your overall diet rather than individual treats

Enjoying food in a balanced way is far more sustainable.

Did you have a chocolatey Easter weekend? 🍫

Does PCOS ever make your body feel completely out of balance?

Many women describe feeling as though their hormones, metabolism and energy levels are constantly working against them.

PCOS affects several systems in the body at once, which is why quick fixes rarely work.
Instead, improvements often come from small, consistent lifestyle habits that support the body over time.

These may include:
• balancing blood sugar through nutrition
• supporting muscle health
• managing stress
• improving sleep

When these foundations are in place, many women begin to notice improvements in energy, cravings and overall wellbeing.

If you would like personalised guidance, we offer a complimentary 30-minute PCOS health review.
