𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 - but at SIL, our support workers show their care, compassion and kindness each and every day. 💙

Here’s a lovely example from this week:
Merv fancied a bacon sandwich while out at local Garden Centre, even though breakfast service had finished. With a bit of kindness, a polite ask, and the support of his team, the café happily agreed to make one just for him.

A small moment - but the smile says it all.
These everyday acts of kindness help make life brighter, more joyful, and more independent for the people we support.

We think everyone at SIL is a superstar… but today we’ve got a special shoutout from Dave to three extra‑shiny ones: Ruth, Martina and Hayley! 💙🌟

A huge thank‑you to Martina and Hayley, who consistently show what brilliant, person‑centred support looks like. Whether it’s accompanying Dave on days out or supporting him at different events, it’s their steady enthusiasm, reliability and calm approach - especially when plans change - that truly make the difference.

And a very special shoutout to Ruth, who helped make Dave’s sister Mary’s 50th birthday one to remember - cooking for 25 people and supporting the celebrations with so much care and heart. An incredible effort and a real act of love.

These moments show exactly what SIL is all about: kindness, creativity, dedication, and supporting people to live life fully.

Story Time! 💙✨
Dave and his support worker recently enjoyed a fantastic day out at Strictly Come Dancing Live in Birmingham - but in true Strictly style, it definitely wasn’t without a bit of drama!

Everything was going smoothly until the train broke down, which led to a difficult and unexpected taxi journey. Despite the travel chaos, they still managed to arrive just in time for the show - and they had an absolutely brilliant time once they got there.

They rounded off the evening with some well‑earned chips on the way home, making it a day they won’t forget.

And of course, none of this would have been possible without our dedicated care workers, who go above and beyond every day to make special moments like this happen. 💙✨

We’ve really valued working with Accessible Herefordshire CIC, whose commitment to accessibility and inclusivity aligns so closely with our own values.

As we head into 2026, we’re excited to begin our new partnership with Herefordshire Growing Point - an organisation whose work brings connection, confidence, wellbeing and inclusive opportunities through gardening and nature. 🌿💙
