Dumbell only posture correction circuit.👇🏽
Kyphotic posture (curve in upper back) in younger people is on the rise due to working at a desk, long periods of driving or just overall amount of time being sat. There are exercises to improve this by strengthening your trapezius and rhomboids whilst stretching out a closed chest. This is a simple dumbell circuit that can be done from home. Video on this was posted a few weeks ago. 😁

RESISTANCE TRAINING! 💪🏽
PT AVAILABLE FROM GYM OR PRIVATE 1-1 SPACE.

Government guidelines are for two resistance sessions a week. That is easier said than done. What exercises? Weight? Intensity? Knowing where to start and how to perform safely is a major hurdle to starting. That is where personal trainers can come in to help.

I have 10 years experience from juniors to clients into their 80s. With experience I have developed an understanding how to phase progressions so intensity of sessions never feel overwhelming. Which then leads to continuity and fantastic long term progress.

Benefits of weight training include;
- Increase in muscle mass (muscle is the main support for joints)
- Better mobility (due to strength and elasticity of muscle)
- Decrease blood sugar levels (helping to prevent or improve type 2 diabetes)
- Increase bone density. (Supporting and preventing osteoporosis and arthritis)

Arm session from Friday! 💪🏽These are movements I use in all my arm sessions with a slight variation in equipment weekly. Rep target is 8s and 5 sets on each in a circuit format with sufficient rest periods.
