You may have noticed we’ve been quieter than usual. I started a new part time job in October and I took some time out to ease in to the new routine.

Babywearing days will now be Mondays and Thursdays in term time.

Such a pretty wrap.

This family is special to me as returning clients. WMBL siblings are popping up all over the place 🥹

We met before the holidays to try out woven wrapping and it was a hit! You may have noticed the harness to correct hip dysplasia… The wrap just worked. It was intuitive and comfy.

Watching you fall in love with wraps was so heartwarming and exciting. I can’t wait to see how far down the rabbit hole you go! Congratulations on your new skills

Babywearing made easy!
(In under 30 minutes AND online)😊

That’s right - I’ve never met, and will likely never meet this sweet duo IRL! But we spent a lovely 30 minutes together on FaceTime.

We went from “baby cries when I put them in the carrier” to smiles all round and a message later this afternoon which read “napped on me for an hour, woohoo!”

Fitting issues are usually fairly straightforward to troubleshoot online, so don’t put up with an uncomfortable carry and get in touch! We charge £20 for 30 mins of online or in-person support.

Update from me:

I’m gently coming out of my social media hibernation and hope to connect on here again. I’ve missed seeing your carries and your little ones grow! I’ve missed supporting your wins and your parenting journeys. I’ve missed supporting the local businesses I love.

SM has been heavy lately with more and more division online. I want folks to feel comfortable accessing our services, but I need to feel comfortable too.

Recently I’ve not felt good when coming online. Somehow I have still had work coming in and I’m incredibly grateful for the lovely repeat clients and so many of you that continue to support and recommend our services. Thank you 🙏

🌜Moon Child🌛

Today I met a gorgeous newborn who hadn’t been named yet.

I love how every family is different. Some choose names ahead. Others wait to see what fits.

I remember how heavy the responsibility felt when we were naming our own baby.

I find the stories behind names fascinating.

Does your family have a tradition? Are you named after an ancestor or someone from a book or tv show? Is your name linked to the seasons or nature? Does your name reflect your language or culture. What does your name mean?

My name is Tamar, but I go by Tammy. Tamar in Hebrew means date palm or palm tree 🌴

Feel free to share any stories around your name, or a name you have chosen.

I’ve added pictures from the movie The Never Ending Story because Bastian has to choose a new name to save the Empress.

Any child from the 80s will remember him finally shouting out something incoherent. Her name according to the book (and google) is Moon Child.

My passion for babywearing began when I carried my newborn daughter home from hospital using a stretchy wrap. That first carry empowered me after a difficult labour and I realised it was the start of something special.

In 2018 I trained as a Babywearing Consultant under Slingababy and joined the Wear My Baby Team.

I love seeing parents leave our sessions with a spring in their step and their baby held close!
