π WHAT IS EFT? π
EFT is something I frequently use due to the high success rate possible in a short time with regard to any issue my clients have.
EFT is short for Emotional Freedom Technique, also known as tapping or meridian tapping. It is a therapeutic technique that combines traditional psychology and acupuncture/acupressure points (before you run for the hills, don't worry, there are NO needles involved!) It involves gently tapping points on the body (mainly the head, face, and hands) while focusing on an issue or problem and provides relief from stress, tensions, negative emotions, negative beliefs/perceptions, fears, anxiety, trauma, mental issues, physical discomfort, and pain.
The Chinese mapped the body's meridian systems (energy pathways) over 4,000 years ago and developed acupuncture and acupressure (amongst other treatment modalities) which I am sure many of you have tried and found particularly helpful for pain, discomfort, or any number of issues.
The theory behind EFT is that tapping on these specific meridian end-points can help release blockages in the body's energy system (think of the meridian pathways as being like an electrical circuit with dysfunction presenting as kinks and blocks in the line which require straightening out or releasing), thus allowing it to process and release negative emotions. By combining the physical act of tapping on the points while focusing on specific thoughts, feelings, emotions, or sensations, EFT clears blockages, resets, and restores the energy balance to the mind-body system.
Significant and life-changing results are experienced much faster than with conventional psychology and talk therapies, with clients often noticing significant shifts in just one session. Of particular benefit is that once you know how to tap and work with EFT you can use it anytime and anywhere to manage any issues yourself (it is wonderful for calming anxiety and panic in yourself and inducing calm). In working with an experienced practitioner, such as myself, you will be guided to uncover the many hidden aspects behind your issue for permanent transformation, healing, and change.
I have been using EFT on myself and teaching it to my clients since training with Gary Craig (EFT creator) in 2006 and I continue to be in awe of the fast and significant improvements that people achieve with this simple and easy-to-learn technique. I particularly love how much progress can be made in the first session, even with chronic issues, such as anxiety, phobias, and addictions.
I use EFT to address a wide range of issues with clients such as anxiety, fears, phobias, addictions, stress, depression/mood disorders, stress, negative beliefs, limiting beliefs, physical pain, and physical issues.
