SR Sports Therapy was developed as a musculoskeletal and sports injury service accessible to Lincoln and the surrounding areas, offering access to advice, education and rehabilitation. We have a special interest in the application of post-operative rehabilitation and rehabilitation for common injuries such as ankle sprains, knee ligament and meniscus injuries, groin pain, shoulder complaints and m
ore! Steven, Owner & Sports Therapist at SR Sports Therapy, runs a clinic at Active Arena Lincoln, and has experience dealing with athletes of a number of backgrounds, from extensive experience in a variety of settings including professional football, working with professional boxers and MMA athletes, to recreational golfers, amateur runners, rugby players and the general public! Your injury may not be sports related, but we can work with most musculoskeletal issues including work-related, muscular and joint aches and pains. Steven holds over 9 years post-graduate experience and has performed pitch-side first aid care for clubs for 8+ seasons! We do things differently, and offer a service that allows access to supervised rehabilitation three times a week (Open Gym Rehabilitation Membership), and semi-remote management of your rehabilitation (Semi-Remote Rehabilitation Programme). Both these services offer extensive value for money - more details can be found on our website of these services. Steven is an experienced Sports Therapist and currently works as a Lecturer in Sport & Exercise Therapy at the University of Lincoln when not in the clinic. He graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a degree in BSc Sports Therapy and furthered his knowledge by finishing a MSc in Sport & Exercise Medicine in 2018. As a member of the Society of Sports Therapists, Steven has also held roles as an FA medical tutor across 4 different counties, lecturer practitioner at the University of Central Lancashire, and associate lecturing roles. An avid football fan, Steven tried many sports when he was a bit younger including windsurfing, and now enjoys playing tug or being walked by his German Shepherd named Thor - if you get to know more about Thor, you’ll know why he walks Steven!
