There’s SO much noise out there - so many people calling you to step up to the table…

New month, new information to get to the grid.

Today we’re talking pain.
It’s hella complex.
And if anyone tells you otherwise… perhaps give them a wide birth or ask more probing questions.. like..do they understand the brain?

Pain is not local. It lives and occurs in the brain.
It is an output from the brain, based on prediction.

Everyone’s pain neurosignature is completely unique based on information that your brain is exposed to through your internal and external environment.

Is it real?
Hell yes.

But just because you experience pain, it doesn’t mean that there is something wrong with you.

A little request to help me help you!ā˜ŗļø
I've had a lot of interest for my Functional Flow for Posture Pain and Performance classes in Nettleham Community Hub on Weds 6pm, but the time of the day is causing a sticking point for a lot of you too.

The class is designed to Improve strength, stability, balance, mobility, posture, pain and cognition and get your body moving how it was designed to move. Prevent against injury, aid longevity and improve performance.

All abilities. All ages. (Modifications given where needed)

If you'd like to join, and previously haven't been able to make the 6pm classes, please can you answer this 30 second form, to let me know if the following times would work for you if you are still interested in coming.

Sticky hips, glutes and lower back?

Let me walk you through this yummy exercise.

Repeat for the other leg and come back to whenever you need to.

Top tips:
- keep opposite forces in action (as you push your foot in to your tight, pull your thigh back in to your foot)
- flex the foot towards the shin - make sure you don’t just hyperextend the toes though)
- keep spine in neutral, don’t flatten your back to the mat and push in to your superficial abdominals (6 pack muscles)
- keep a long spine, imagine your head is drawing away from your pelvis
- stay relaxed in the body in the areas you’re not engaging, and let the breath be soft and fluid
