✨️ Milkwood memory choir ✨️

For the past 2 years we have been building our very own memory choir for our residents to enjoy reminiscing the songs they used to know Whilst also feeling a sense of belonging here at Milkwood, the place they call home.

This year, we are opening our choir to our community with our first session taking place on Thursday 22nd January at Rake Village hall, 2.30pm-3.30pm.

Milkwood Memory Choir brings people living with dementia and their carers together through the power of song. Music can unlock memories, lift mood, and create connection when words are hard to find — reminding everyone that joy and belonging are always possible. 💙🎶

Feel free to pop over to see us and join in a sing-song.

Refreshments will be served.

Earlier this week, we attended a rememberence parade in our local military town.

Our residents stood patiently whilst the soldiers marched through the street ahead of the two minutes silence.

We are so proud to be a veterans accredited home and being able to allow our residents and veterans to show their respect 🇬🇧

A reminder that we are without phones and emails tomorrow due to a power cut in the area.

We are expecting this power cut to run from 8.30am earliest, until 5.30pm latest.

We have been advised by Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks of a planned power outage on 05 November 2025 between 8.30am and 5.30pm.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause - rest assured it will be business as usual before and after. We are not expecting any other outages.

Oktoberfest party done!!

Traditional German food prepared by our fantastic kitchen team and entertainment from Chris Buck Music.

We were joined by family members and our friends from South Downs Care who shared the fun and laughter. What more could you want.....

We are pooped but enjoyed every moment 😀
