This week reminded me how much we sometimes wait for permission.
Permission to slow down.
Permission to stop.
Permission to say this is too much right now.
Grief has been close this week, and I chose not to push past it.
I listened to myself.
I focused on what I could carry.
I chose gentle tasks over perfect ones.
And I let that be enough.
There is a quiet strength in responding to what’s tender, rather than forcing our way through.
So if you need permission as you move through the week, here it is.
Permission to soften your expectations.
Permission to take smaller steps.
Permission to rest without explaining.
