May is Asthma Awareness Month! Let’s Breathe Easier Together.
Although asthma affects millions worldwide, it can be well-managed with the right knowledge and care.

💬Know the Signs:
✔️ Wheezing or whistling sound when breathing
✔️ Shortness of breath
✔️ Chest tightness
✔️ Persistent coughing (especially at night or early morning)

Tips for Better Asthma Control:
✅ Follow Your Action Plan – Work with your doctor or asthma nurses to create one.
✅ Use Inhalers Correctly – Ask your pharmacist for a demonstration.
✅ Avoid Triggers – Smoke, pollen, dust, and cold air can worsen symptoms.
✅ Stay Active Safely – Warm up before exercise and keep relievers handy.
✅ Monitor Symptoms – Peak flow meters can help track lung function.

Emergency Signs (requires that you Seek Help Immediately!):
🔴 Struggling to speak or walk due to breathlessness
🔴 Lips or fingernails turning blue
🔴 No improvement after using a reliever inhaler

Please help us share this post to spread the awareness! If you or a loved one has asthma, talk to your pharmacist about inhaler techniques, spacer use, and preventing flare-ups.

If you have questions about asthma management? Ask me in the comments section!👇

Factors contributing to poor asthma control ⤵️

Asthma is one of the most common chronic non-communicable diseases worldwide. It’s characterised by variable airflow obstruction, causing dyspnoea and wheezing.

While highly effective therapies are available—and most patients can attain good asthma control—undertreatment is still common.
