Good luck to our wonderful colleague Emma as she starts her teaching journey! After 4 incredible years with the Highfield team she has left her mark as a true champion for home birth. Her passion for supporting families and advocating for normal physiological birth has made a difference to so many. We will miss her … but luckily she can’t get rid of us completely as she will still be back for some extra shifts! 😁😘

Highfield Team are absolutely delighted to announce the very first Christmas Day baby born on the Wirral today, was born….. AT HOME 🏠

There was no Silent Night for our on call midwives (aka Christmas Angels) who were called out in the early hours to see the most precious Christmas gift born safe and well by the light of the Christmas tree 🎄

Huge congratulations to our newest Highfield Family and Merry Christmas to One and All ❤️

Santa visited early for not one but TWO of our Highfield mamas today, our midwives were present to see the most precious gifts, born safely at two beautiful homebirths this morning 🏠

What a beautiful home birth we had this morning ✨

After a brief trickle of waters on Saturday, mum had considered her options and decided to accept an induction of labour this morning... Until baby decided to be born at home as planned! 🥰 After a quick and powerful labour, a little girl was born safely in the pool at home, with support from daddy and midwives Sian and Katie. Named midwife Helen arrived soon after to complete their care.

We will be holding our Meet The Midwife coffee morning a little later in the month to tie in with the Christmas period ✨

All our Highfield parents, bumps, babies and siblings are welcome🤱🏻🤰🏾 mince pies, biscuits and hot drinks as standard.. Christmas outfits encouraged!

If you’re planning a homebirth then pop in and have a root through the box, take whatever you need, and then after your baby is born, if you have anything you want to pass on yourself, drop it into the box for another homebirth Mama ❤️
