🎣✨ What a way to end the summer holidays!

Every single young angler caught fish this morning, but the star of the session was Alfie who smashed his PB with an absolute beast of a carp at 20.3lb! 💪🐟

The Reel Healing Project has only been running for 6 months and in that short time we’ve already delivered sessions to 100 different children – helping them connect with nature, build confidence, and experience the joy of fishing. 🌿💙

So proud of all the kids today – from their first roach and perch, to those new PBs! The smiles say it all. 😁

🚐🎣 Help Us Get a Mini Bus for Primal Anglers Youth Project! 🎣🚐

At Primal Mentality CIC, we run Primal Anglers — a community project giving children and young people the chance to experience the benefits of fishing for their mental health, confidence, and wellbeing.

Right now, our biggest challenge is transport. We’re fundraising for a mini bus to:
✅ Take young people to fishing venues across the UK
✅ Carry all the rods, tackle, and equipment needed
✅ Make sure no child misses out because of transport barriers

👉 Every donation, big or small, will help us make this dream a reality.
👉 Businesses donating £500 or more will get their logo on our mini bus, seen all over the UK on our trips!

A huge shoutout to the incredible young people who joined us this week to help our community lake clean-up! 💪🗑️

With litter pickers in hand and bin bags at the ready, they put in an amazing effort to make the area safer and cleaner for wildlife, anglers, and everyone who loves spending time in this beautiful spot. 🌍💚

This mission is to combine angling with caring for our environment – inspiring the next generation to value nature, take responsibility, and give back to their community.

What an incredible day for our clean-up and angling project! 🌿🎣 This amazing group of young people, families, and volunteers came together with a shared goal – to care for our local environment and ensure our lake remains a safe, clean, and beautiful place for everyone to enjoy.

Armed with litter pickers, bin bags, and plenty of determination, we managed to collect a huge amount of rubbish, making a real difference to the area. Projects like this aren’t just about fishing – they’re about community, teamwork, learning new skills, and taking pride in the places we love.

We’re so proud to see everyone working together, having fun, and understanding how important it is to look after our outdoor spaces. This is just the start of something special, and it’s amazing to see the positive impact already taking shape.

A massive thank you to Cobalt Housing for supporting our project and helping us bring our vision to life. With their support, we can continue to provide opportunities for young people to enjoy the outdoors, learn about angling, and understand the importance of protecting our environment for future generations. 💚
