Scare crow competition. A days work and a lot of laughter. Invisible Scare crow. The residence laughed it, a lot of talking, how to create our scare crow. We all think it turned out well.

We're thrilled to announce our latest green-fingered endeavor here at Walton Manor! Teaming up with our wonderful agency provider, Nurse Plus, we've embarked on a journey to grow some stunning sunflowers. 🌻

Theressa has been getting her hands dirty, preparing the soil with care before we plant the sunflower seeds. With every scoop of soil, we're sowing the seeds of excitement and anticipation!

But that's not all – here's where the fun really begins! We're hosting our very own in-house competition where each sunflower will be given a special name chosen by our residents. With the loving care of both residents and staff, we're nurturing these sunflowers to reach their fullest potential.

What a fantastic VE Day party we had at Walton Manor Care Home! 🎶🇬🇧🎉

From heartwarming wartime melodies to timeless hits from the 50s and 60s, our entertainer Lucy had us all singing along and tapping our toes.

Thanks to the generous donation of drinks and cakes from Asta, we we indulged in delicious treats while we danced, sang, and laughed the day away. 🍰💃

A special shoutout to all our residents who pitched in to create the wonderful decorations, adding that extra special touch to our festivities!

One of our residents was a nurse for many years and asks our team every day if she can help. To make her wishes come true we gave her a spare tunic and let her help out! 💙

Obviously no personal care or interaction personally with other residents was involved and safety was maintained at all times, however our resident had a lovely day being one of the team and wants a permanent role!
