has made world book day very easy for me. I now get to go as myself 😍 no costume needed.

It's been on of the great honours of my life to have a friendship with Jennifer and watch her dreams become reality.

I have been blessed to have her share her story and to be a part of that. The wheel: A witches Path back to the ancient self is a brilliant read for budding and experienced witches alike.

Jen is also launching her next book Underwing: A story of motherhood, loss and wild intuition. A powerful story of her lived experience of baby loss and her connection to the earth and spirituality supporting her through that difficult time. Jen has a book reading and signing in this Thursday come join me celebrating this powerful witchy woman.

Children experience the world through their bodies first 💛

Somatic techniques support children to:

💛 recognise sensations in their body
💛 notice early signs of overwhelm
💛 regulate big emotions safely
💛 build emotional awareness and self-trust

This work isn’t about asking children to “calm down”.

It’s about giving them practical, body-based tools they can actually use.
With a background in youth work, I offer trauma-informed somatic wellbeing sessions in schools and educational settings, supporting both children and the adults around them 🫶

These sessions focus on:

• nervous system awareness
• co-regulation and emotional safety
• simple techniques children can return to again and again

Early somatic support helps children build resilience that lasts far beyond the classroom ✨

You can’t rush regulation.

The nervous system moves through cycles of activation and rest - and healing happens when we learn to listen rather than override.
Somatic work is about timing:
Knowing when to move.
When to pause.
When to rest.

The body always tells the truth - if we give it space to speak.

I took some time before sharing this.

What unfolded at the BAFTAs has been painful and triggering for many, particularly within Black and Disabled communities.

This carousel is offered as an acknowledgement of harm, a call for accountability, and a reminder to tend to our nervous systems when collective grief and shame surface.

If this has been activating, please take care of your body first. Stepping back, resting, and grounding are not avoidance. They are regulation.

Your pain is valid. What matters now is how we move forward with care, learning, and responsibility.

Rest is allowed 💛

Inspired by post earlier today I took a break from screen and spent 20 mins in a somatic movement practice, connecting with our garden in the sunshine. Feeling deep gratitude and connection to the trees, plants and grasses as my body led the movement and connection.

I loved noticing how the body and the leaves almost moved in rhythm with one another.

I felt my body full of fire and energy ready to take on the second half of my day.

I usually only do this practice when I have a designated day it was beautiful to intergate it into my lunch break.

So many people are exhausting themselves trying to think their way out of dysregulation.

Healing doesn’t begin with force.
It begins with safety.

When the body feels supported, things soften naturally.
No pushing required 💛

Anxious attachment is the body staying close to threat and connection at the same time.

It often looks like:

• overthinking texts
• fear of abandonment
• hypervigilance in relationships
• difficulty relaxing when things feel “too calm”
This isn’t a personality flaw.

It’s a nervous system that learned closeness required vigilance.

Somatic work helps the body learn that connection can be steady, not something to chase 💛

Come and join me and for an evening of feeling more confident in your relationships whilst healing your nervous system - https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/secure-attachment-workshop-the-body-confidence-coach-lottie-b-somatics-tickets-1982982276369

We’ve had lots of interest in this offering, and it’s been clear that for many people the date was simply too short notice.

Rather than rushing something this important, we’ve decided to pause and reschedule - giving ourselves the time to deliver this work with the depth, care and accessibility it deserves.

We’re now also actively looking to partner with organisations and businesses who want to sponsor spaces and support wider access to trauma-informed, somatic wellbeing work.

If you’re an organisation interested in partnering, sponsoring a place, or being part of this work, please get in touch.

More details coming soon 💛

Day 1 of future focus and the first job of the day was to get some more heating in the studio.

The weather has been west and rainy famously this year and the studio is dry and beautiful but needed some heating before our guests arrived.

The space is now toasty warm a real shelter from the outdoors to come together in our community to learn and create together. 😍

I had a fabulous day today at Greenmount Primary School delivering my mindful caterpillar interactive puppet show and workshop. This was part of their children's mental health week program and it was such a pleasure to see how engaged and switched on their pupils are, such strong emotional literacy.

I also took my mobile massage chair to offer massages during breaks and lunch to the teaching and support staff. It was lovely to get feedback that teachers were feeling calm and relaxed heading into the afternoon session.

Our Somatic Rage Therapy session isn’t about losing control or being pushed beyond your limits. It’s about safe, supported release, guided by the body and anchored in nervous system regulation.

You don’t need to be “good at anger.”
You don’t need to know what will come up.
You don’t need to smash anything if you don’t want to.

Everything is optional, consent-led, and trauma-informed - with emotional and physical support throughout, and grounding at the end to help you leave feeling settled, not stirred up.

If you’ve been holding anger in your body…
If you feel stuck, tense, or on edge…
If your nervous system is asking for something different…
This might be for you.
