This month we’re joining Skills for Care in

Every day across the Right at Home network we see the importance of care and the huge difference it makes to people’s lives. Our Carers work tirelessly to empower others to continue the routines that bring them joy and maintain independence as much as possible.

From supporting a Client to have their first day out in months, to organising events the whole community can enjoy, to simply offering a listening ear during a difficult time for someone.

We’re so proud to be a part of this incredible sector.

We are proud to support Homecare’s Got Talent 2026!

This is an opportunity to celebrate the people who bring so much into others’ lives every day, and to see a different side of the homecare community. Whether it is music, comedy, or something completely unique, it is about recognising the individual behind the role.

Taking part is simple. All you need is a video audition to show what you can do.

You can send your video via WhatsApp to 07510928923.

Good luck!

Quality care looks different for everyone.

For one Client, it might start with a weekly visit for company and help preparing meals after a hospital stay. For another, it could mean regular personal care in the mornings, with support increasing gradually as mobility changes.

We often support people whose care develops over time, without the disruption of changing providers. Familiar Carers, well-planned routines, and flexible services mean care can adapt while still feeling reassuring and consistent.

At Right at Home, the breadth of our services allows people to remain at home with support that fits their life.

Ben Selby, Managing Director of Right at Home South Cheshire, has been speaking with his local MPs to shape the future of Adult Social Care. Read more about the Casey Commission meeting and its impact here:

Shaping the future of Adult Social Care💙

Our Managing Director, Ben, had the privilege of joining many other local providers within Cheshire and Shropshire at the Casey Commission round table, a discussion covering the challenges faced within adult social care that we face today - and more importantly what we can do in the future.

The round table was a brilliant opportunity for Right at Home South Cheshire to represent not only ourselves, but also the people we care for, and ensure the voices of our local community are heard.

Ben raised awareness for the growing concerns regarding the cost of home care and how this is impacting both services providers and users. Resulting in a lack of people accessing the high-quality care they, not only need, but also deserve.

Spring often brings a sense of new beginnings

For some, that means thinking differently about work and looking for something more meaningful.

At Right at Home, our Carers are carefully matched with Clients they’re likely to connect with, based on shared interests and personalities. Those thoughtful pairings help relationships develop naturally and make day-to-day support more rewarding.

If you’re considering a fresh start this spring, a caring role with Right at Home could be worth exploring.

We’re so grateful to families who take the time to share their experience.

“Right at Home have given my father the most amazing care. They have bent over backwards to accommodate his needs. The staff are lovely and the care team are brilliant.

They’ve supported us with doctor and hospital appointments, and nothing is too much trouble. Taking my dad out for walks along the Embankment in Bedford has also helped him stay active.”

It’s not just about care at home – it’s about helping Clients stay connected to the places and routines that matter to them, with a team families can truly rely on.

“My sisters and I approached Right at Home for help with our parents, aged 96 and 87. We started with two hours a day but quickly increased this, including weekends, as we were so impressed with the care provided. We also trialled overnight care, which was excellent.

It was incredibly helpful to be able to adjust care and hours at short notice. The office team were always friendly, accommodating and quick to respond.

The carers who visited our parents’ home cannot be praised highly enough – completing household tasks to a high standard and often taking the initiative where they saw something needed doing. The companionship has been first class, and both of my parents have really enjoyed their daily chats.”

Thank you for trusting us to support your family. Providing flexible, dependable care at home – with genuine companionship at its heart – is what we’re here for.

Today is Young Carers Action Day, a time to remember what a crucial role young carers play in our communities.

A young carer is anybody aged 18 and under, while young adult carers are aged up to 25.

Young carers often have to take on adult responsibilites while dealing with all the usual pressures that life throws at young people. In some cases, their caregiving duties can lead to stress, missed school, and limited social time.

At Right at Home, we believe that family carers, including young carers, need time to look after themselves, and the social care sector can be a pillar of support for those caring for loved ones.
