Barrington's Funeral Services Ltd

Barrington's Funeral Services Ltd Family owned and run Funeral Director in Liverpool. Burial or Cremation Services. Funeral Cars.

Owned by David and Claire Barrington we are a very friendly team helping families to say goodbye to their loved ones in a way that is both personal and relevant to provide a good farewell. Do we choose a Cremation or a Burial? - this is a decision which may have been decided long ago or certainly before we have to think about it. From your first call into Barringtons we can guide you with choices

and costs and advise on which way to go. The choice of funeral transport is still one of the most important aspects of the funeral experience. However, it is entirely up to you how you want to conduct this element of the funeral ceremony. Our team are here to help you in making the arrangements; having vast experience of arranging different types of funerals and are passionate that we can provide you with both an appropriate and significant service. Continuity of care is extremely important to us, wherever possible the person who arranges the funeral service also supervises the funeral on the day.

Barrington's Christmas Appeal 2024 is a little different this year - we are lighting a light for those we have lost or in memory of somebody who is missing in your life. Any donation is fantastic and welcomed towards Zoe's Place, Baby Hospice in Liverpool. This incredible place supports families with babies with life-limiting illnesses and has also faced larger struggles this year to stay open.

We are getting to that time of year where people are talking about Christmas, making plans and getting excited to meet up with friends and family. It might also be a time for you where you are thinking about those who won't be there this year. Those who are missing from the dinner table, the one who brought the magic of Christmas to your home.

Our memorial service is all about remembering those we love but see no more. We will recall all those special times, the memories made, and give thanks for the love we shared.

You are all welcome to join us as we say their names aloud, light a candle and give thanks for the lives they lived. We would love to see you and your families on what will be a really special evening.

Save the date!

Our Light up a Life service will take place on Sunday 8th December at 4pm, here at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Thornton.

Light up a Life is a very special event and a lovely way to remember your loved ones over the festive period.

Come and join us in our beautiful woodland garden to light a candle, sing carols and take part in a short but meaningful service.

We will also switch on the lights on our Light up Life Christmas tree, where each light is dedicated to someone special.

Hot drinks and refreshments will be available and make sure you dress for the weather as this is an outdoor event.

If you would like to dedicate a light to the memory of your loved one, you can find out more on our website - https://www.stjhospice.org.uk/fundraising/light-up-a-life

A big thank you to our Light up a Life sponsor Barrington's Funeral Services Ltd for supporting this event.

Baby Loss Awareness Week is held annually between 9th-15th October, and gives the opportunity for communities to come together and grieve while sharing their experiences and knowing they are not alone.

For this year's Remembrance Service, held by The Honeysuckle Team at Liverpool Women’s Hospital, we offered our support by providing pocket-size cards with two beautiful poems for parents to carry with them and remember their little ones.

The service at St George’s Hall was very touching. We each lit a candle and watched as people shared stories and poems to remember their loved ones, and finished the service with a performance from The Soul City Voices Choir.

The Honeysuckle Team are available year-round to support parents and families who have experienced a loss at any point during pregnancy and soon after birth, focusing on bringing communities together to share a safe space with others who have been through the same experience.

For more information on support groups or ways to get involved, please email honeysuckle@lwh.nhs.uk If you missed the Remembrance service, you can find the recording here: https://www.youtube.com/live/tekUqCoTDQM?feature=shared
