She brought plenty of smiles along with some lovely, creative ideas. 🎨

Inspired by Ruby, our residents got crafty and made some beautiful bookmarks, enjoying every moment of trying something new together.

Fresh air is always good, especially when it’s during a shared walk.

Some of our lovely ladies enjoyed a gentle stroll around the beautiful garden at Whittington Care Home, taking time to chat, laugh and enjoy the surroundings we’re lucky to have. 🌿🌳

Our plans don’t just come from team meetings either; they’re shaped by the voices, interests and ideas of our residents, which makes them even more exciting.

Having a real sense of occupation matters so much, it keeps minds active, sparks creativity and brings a genuine feeling of pride. We can’t wait to share all the new projects, partnerships and moments that 2026 has in store! 💛🩵

No Blue Monday here, it’s – The Kettle is on! 🫖☕

In Britain, putting the kettle on is about more than making a drink; it’s an invitation to pause, sit together and have a proper chat.

Many of our residents have spent a lifetime “brewing up” for family, friends and neighbours, so it only feels right that we celebrate Brew Monday by doing what we do best, sharing a cuppa and enjoying each other’s company.

It’s often over a cup of tea and a biscuit that we open up, we share stories, laughter flows, and connections are made.

So yes… the kettle’s on, the biscuits are out, and there’s always room for one more… 🍪 🩵💛

We love bringing fun activities into our days because they do so much more than pass the time. 🎨🖌️

Trying something new helps keep minds active, builds confidence and gives everyone a real sense of achievement!

Our residents at Whittington Care Home recently enjoyed an art class on the Oomph activities platform, and it was wonderful to see how much progress our residents have made.

The ladies were excited to have a go, support one another and express themselves in their own way - and the results were simply amazing.

Creative activities like these are so stimulating and bring so much joy to the day. 🎨💛🩵

At Summit Care Group, we love a morning game of Bingo 🎉

Whittington Care Home recently welcomed back Kelvin, who’s returning to us for his second year of college placement and joined in the fun and games.

This will be his final year studying Health and Social Care at Chesterfield College, before heading off to university to train as a Registered Nurse.

It’s a pleasure to be part of his journey, and we look forward to following his achievements as he takes the next exciting steps in his career. 💙 💛

Birthdays are always something special in our homes.

Every person deserves to feel seen, valued, and celebrated on their special day, and we love making that happen in small ways that mean a lot. 🩵💛

From bringing everyone together to sharing stories, laughter and a slice (or two) of cake, it’s these moments that make the day truly memorable.
