Pablo’s owners were advised to PTS… good job they didn’t listen 💙

Pablo, just 4 years old, was diagnosed with Grade 5 IVDD, the most severe and advanced stage. This meant complete paralysis in his hindlimbs, loss of deep pain sensation, and incontinence. His prognosis was poor, and the emergency vet recommended euthanasia.

But his dedicated owners refused to give up. They sought a second opinion, and Pablo was rushed for emergency surgery. After completing his surgery and and personalised intensive daily veterinary physiotherapy plan, Pablo is now back taking his first steps again.

He still has strength to rebuild, but his recovery so far is incredible. His surgeon is confident that over the next few months, Pablo will be walking properly and back enjoying his favourite dog friendly cafés on Lark Lane again, which makes me SO happy!

Stories like Pablo’s are a reminder that veterinary physiotherapy truly changes lives, without it, his hindlimb movement may of never have returned.

If you dog is suffering with IVDD, or something similar, please seek a second opinion and get in touch to see what recovery options are available to you!

If you want to reduce your dogs pain without the continued use of strong painkillers, this is for you!

I am so excited to introduce this amazing machine to my list of services! Our brand new laser machine 🤩

Perfect for reducing pain & inflammation, increasing circulation, reducing muscle spasms and trigger points and improving mobility!

Clinical trials show reduced pain in dogs with hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis (arthritis), reduced need for NSAIDS (pain killers), and when used after surgery for dogs with IVDD dogs were back walking again quicker after having laser therapy than without!

If you’d like to explore this option for your dog, get in touch!

Reducing your dog’s pain, without medication

New Service: Laser Therapy ✨

I’m so excited to now offer Laser Therapy as part of my Veterinary Physiotherapy treatments for dogs and horses!

Laser therapy is a completely non-invasive, pain-free and drug-free treatment that can be used alongside physiotherapy to support healing, reduce pain, and improve mobility.

Benefits include:
✔️ Pain relief (analgesic)
✔️ Anti-inflammatory effects
✔️ Faster healing
✔️ Increased circulation
✔️ Reduced trigger points + muscle spasms
✔️ Improved function and range of motion

It’s suitable for a wide range of conditions including osteoarthritis (arthritis), hip dysplasia, IVDD, lumbosacral disease, tendon and ligament injuries, soft tissue injuries, and wound healing.

Clinical studies show:
– Reduced pain in dogs with hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis
– Decreased need for NSAIDs (painkillers)
– Dogs recovering from IVDD surgery walked again sooner when treated with laser therapy compared to those without

In this video, you’ll see me demonstrating laser therapy over Lottie’s spine, hips, stifles, elbows, and even her paws — using different head sizes depending on the area being treated.

If your dog is currently on strong, medicated painkillers (that may even cause sedation), or you’ve been told they’ll need them for life, this could be a gentle, holistic alternative to support their comfort and recovery.

Interested in finding out how Laser Therapy + Veterinary Physiotherapy can help your dog or horse?
📍 I offer mobile sessions across Liverpool, Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire & North Wales.

Disclaimer: laser must not be pointed in anyones eye (dog or human) and protective eyewear should be worn. For demonstration purposes I do not have the laser switched on in this video which is why no protective eyewear is worn.

If your dog does any of these, you need to watch until the end of this video

Pain in dogs can look very different from what we expect. It’s not always limping or yelping, sometimes it’s small, subtle changes in their behaviour that we as owners can start to tune into.

1. Fear of large and/or high energy dogs incase they’re bumped into or jumped on
2. Anxiety in the car, particularly when it’s moving as the bumpiness and instability causes additional pain
3. Excessive zoomies, or suddenly stopping zoomies to scratch or nibble an area like their leg or eat grass after they’ve got the zoomies and it hurt
4. Bunny hopping when both back legs move together up stairs or when running around
5. Getting tired quickly on a walk (a lot of people presume just lazy!)

Once you really get to know your dog, you’ll start to recognise their unique signs of discomfort. Remember, they can’t speak, but they’re always communicating with us in their own way.

What’s a subtle way your dog has shown you they’re in pain? 👇

It’s never been easier to keep your pets pain-free and moving comfortably, especially now the weather’s getting colder!

All animals benefit from regular Veterinary Physiotherapy, just like we benefit from a massage after a long day or physio after exercise!

They don’t need a diagnosed condition and older, active, and working animals especially feel the difference.

I also see many animals referred by vets for support with recovery, mobility, and long-term comfort.

There’s a method in the madness

One of my favourite pieces of equipment is my adjustable Sit & Stack Board from

It’s incredibly versatile — I can adapt it for dogs of all shapes and sizes, and for every stage of their rehabilitation plan. The rubber, non-slip surface is a must-have, helping keep sessions safe and prevent further injury.

Every piece of equipment and every exercise I use in a Veterinary Physiotherapy session has a purpose. It’s all about keeping things positive, confidence-building and pain-free, while targeting specific muscles to improve mobility, balance and strength.

If you’d like to book a tailored, mobile Vet Physio session designed specifically for your dog (or horse!) in Liverpool, Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire or North Wales, send me a message, let’s help your animal feel their best again!

“They always perk up when they get to the vets!” - sound familiar?

If your dog’s ever seemed miraculously better the moment they arrive at the vets, it’s not because they were faking it. It’s actually their natural instinct kicking in.

When dogs are anxious, fearful, or overly excited, adrenaline floods their system, putting them into a state of over-arousal or self-protection. In this state, they can mask pain completely, they’re simply not relaxed enough to show subtle signs of discomfort.

That’s why so many issues can go unnoticed during short, stressful vet visits. The waiting room is packed; there are strange animals, people, and sounds. The whole experience can be super stressful.

At home, however, dogs are calm, comfortable, and relaxed, which allows me to accurately assess their movement, posture, and muscle use as part of a full Veterinary Physiotherapy assessment.

Come meet my gorgeous clients! 💙🤩

Last month, I worked with such an amazing variety of dogs and horses, from those recovering after injury or surgery, to vet referrals where the cause of discomfort wasn’t clear, and regular maintenance sessions to keep pets feeling their best.

As you can see, veterinary physiotherapy can make a positive difference to any animal’s life, no matter their age, species, or medical history.

Physio isn’t just for recovery, it’s about maintaining mobility, comfort and happiness. Just like us humans, our dogs and horses benefit from physiotherapy as part of their well-being routine.

I’m so grateful for every one of my clients, and for making my childhood dream come true. 💙

Yes, your dog’s long nails are probably causing them pain 😬

Most dog owners don’t realise long nails can actually cause a lot of pain. Imagine having long toenails constantly hitting the inside of your shoes; that’s what it can feel like for your dog.

Overgrown nails push their weight backwards, putting extra strain on joints and muscles, creating a painful domino effect up the limbs.

Just because your dog is still running around happy doesn’t mean they’re pain-free. But, subtle signs like shifting weight, stiffness, or reluctance to walk far can all point to discomfort.

Keeping nails short helps your dog move naturally, stay balanced, and feel more comfortable day to day.

If your dog has arthritis or other mobility issues, early support makes all the difference. Get in touch today to book a tailored and bespoke mobile Veterinary Physiotherapy session in Liverpool and keep your dog happy, comfortable and enjoying life 💙

Hi everyone!

I’m Olivia and I’m a veterinary physiotherapist offering mobile physio sessions around Liverpool, Merseyside, Cheshire, Chester, Greater Manchester and parts of North Wales!

Now, this is one thing often - maybe your own dog sits like this. This is a key sign your dog is in pain or uncomfortable. Frequently being misdiagnosed as a "quirk".

Physiotherapy shouldn’t be a last point of call; instead, we should begin physio at the very beginning of these issues, which will help your dog, cat or horse recover or manage their condition a lot better (and be better on your bank account!) than if we started later down the line

I’d love to answer any questions you may have the best I can!

Myths I hear way too often 🫣

Key takeaway: Physio isn’t just for old or injured animals - Regular veterinary physiotherapy helps dogs, horses + even cats stay strong, mobile and healthy for longer. Think of it as part of their routine care, not a last resort.

*A Veterinary Physiotherapist has extensive clinical training, has a professional body registration (ACPAT, RAMP, NAVP etc) that ensures they complete ongoing CPD each year and work under veterinary referral. Every member of the multi-disciplinary team has a place, but make sure you know who is looking at your pet and check credentials.

I offer mobile veterinary physiotherapy across Liverpool, Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire + North Wales.
