🎅🎄CLINIC UPDATE

As the year comes to an end, I just want to take a moment to say a genuine and heartfelt thank you to all of my patients for your continued trust, loyalty, and support throughout the past year. It truly means more to me than I can put into words.

December has been especially lovely I've really enjoyed hearing all about your festive plans, family gatherings, and celebrations. Those conversations are one of the many things that make my work so rewarding.

I have also been completely overwhelmed by the kindness shown through the thoughtful cards, gifts, and well wishes I've received. Thank you so much they have been very much appreciated and gratefully received.

I'm looking forward to a short rest and then coming back refreshed, ready to do it all again in the new year.
Wishing you all a very happy, peaceful, and healthy festive season, and I look forward to seeing you again in 2026 ❤️

Today is World Diabetes Day – A Reminder to Look After Your Feet & Your Health

After a busy day in clinic, I’ve been reflecting on just how important diabetes foot care truly is.

This week, I carried out several diabetes foot screenings—each one an opportunity to help someone reduce their risk of complications, feel confident in their self-care, and walk away reassured that support is always available.

During these appointments, we talked about:
✔️ Early signs to look out for
✔️ Daily self-management tips
✔️ How to prevent common foot complications
✔️ When to seek help and why early action matters

One of the most important messages I share with every patient is this: you’re never bothering me by getting in touch. If something doesn’t look or feel right, I want to hear from you. Early advice can make all the difference.

As a proud member of the Royal College of Podiatry, I’m committed to providing evidence-based care and helping people with diabetes stay informed, empowered, and on their feet—quite literally.

On World Diabetes Day, let’s raise awareness, support one another, and keep the conversation going. Your feet carry you through every day… let’s give them the care they deserve. 💙👣

🌞 May is Melanoma Awareness Month – Don't Overlook Your Feet! 🦶

As the sun shines brighter this May, it's crucial to remember that melanoma, the most serious form of skin cancer, can develop anywhere on the body—including the feet. Areas like the soles, between the toes, and under the nails are often overlooked during routine skin checks.

🔍 What to Watch For:

New or changing moles or spots on your feet
Dark streaks under toenails
Sores that don't heal.
Early detection is vital. If you notice any unusual changes, consult a healthcare professional promptly.

☀️ Sun Safety Tips:

Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen to all exposed areas of your feet
Wear protective footwear when outdoors
Avoid peak sun hours between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Regularly inspecting your feet and practicing sun safety can significantly reduce your risk. Stay vigilant and protect your skin this summer.

Celebrating One Year of Moira Gibb Podiatry🥳

As I reflect on the first year of Moira Gibb Podiatry, I am truly grateful for the incredible journey it has been. From the very beginning, my goal has been to provide the highest level of care, helping my patients stay mobile, comfortable, and pain-free.

Every day in the clinic has been a privilege. I have loved getting to know each and every one of you, hearing your stories, and playing a part in improving your foot health and overall well-being. Your trust and support mean everything to me, and I cannot thank you enough.

Starting this business was one of the best decisions I have ever made, and I am so proud of what we have achieved together over the past year. Whether you have come to me for routine foot care, injury treatment, or specialist advice, I hope I have made a positive difference in your journey to better foot health.

Looking ahead, I am excited for what the next year will bring. I remain committed to providing the best possible care and continuing to support my patients in every way I can.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of this journey. Here’s to another year of happy, healthy feet!

Wishing you all a very peaceful and joyful Christmas. May this special time bring you comfort, warmth, and the blessing of being surrounded by those you love most.

I will also be cherishing some time with my own family, I've had to close the clinic earlier than planned due to some ill health.
