In yoga the elements are qualities of energy that we may experience in our bodies and in the world around us. They are Earth, Fire, Water, Air and Space (Ether). They are found in the ancient yoga texts and also in the traditional medicine of India, Ayurveda.
Being in touch with these elements can help to notice where there may be imbalances and then to restore harmony.
Fire energy is located in the solar plexus area of the body. It’s your digestive fire or ‘agni’. It’s a transformative energy; creating energy for food and the air we breathe and also helping us digest the world around us. This can be information, feelings, relationships, sights, sounds and stories. It’s our Inner fire, our will power and determination.
When the Fire element is in balance there is a lot of motivation, discernment and courage. When it is out of balance there may be anger, burnout and frustration.
Yoga that focuses on the solar plexus area helps restore harmony.

Beginners and advanced yogis are welcome. It’s a Hatha style of yoga. It’s a gentle and slow paced class. A perfect way to begin a Monday or Thursday morning and to feel good.
