Today is Lammas, in the Celtic Wheel of the year, it marks the beginning of the harvest season. Fields of wheat and corn are now ripe for reaping, and many plants begin to wither, dropping seeds for the next spring. It is a time of transition, as light gives way to darkness—days grow shorter, and signs of autumn emerge with falling leaves and cooler air.
Lammas is a time of personal reflection. It’s time for us to consider the "harvest" of our actions, choices, and growth over the year. It symbolises both gratitude and closure—a moment to give thanks to the earth and the divine for abundance, while also recognising the natural cycle of life, death, and renewal.
