I have been running a shiatsu clinic since I graduated from The Shiatsu College Bristol in 2002. Since then I have studied with the international teacher, Carola Beresford-Cooke, in workshops on a range of topics including neck treatments and helping to manage the menopause. I also do specialised online courses regularly. I’m a member of The Shiatsu Society UK.
What is Shiatsu?
Shiatsu is a form of body work – a sort of acupuncture without needles – that incorporates working the pressure points during massage. A treatment may also include gently stretching muscles and rotating joints e.g. shoulders and knees. It is an effective treatment to ease pain and physical discomfort as well as emotional and mental problems.
I feel passionate about helping people to be as healthy as possible through the medium of shiatsu and have been fortunate to work with a variety of clients and support them on their journey.
As well as running my practice I welcome the opportunity to go out into the community and give talks to the WI, Merched y Wawr and the Young Farmers and similar institutions.
Please feel free to contact me for further information or to talk about how I might be able to help you – I’m always happy to chat.
