Right at the start of lockdown we told you about Noah’s Ark patient, Eden-Olive. She has an airway defect called tracheamalasia and needs a breathing machine at night to supports her airway. She also has a low immune system and has been on a ventilator seven times as a result of catching just a common cold. Because of this Eden-Olive’s parents have been shielding her since early March.

Having spent her first year of life in hospital, Eden-Olive is no stranger to staying in one place. But after six months at home, her parents can see how much she misses her friends and teachers. So today, Eden-Olive went back to play group. It’s was a particularly hard decision for her mum and dad because Eden-Olive has been so well during lockdown.

As you can see though, she loved it! Mum, Michelle says: “I’m sure so many parents are so worried like I was and am. But as soon as you see your child running to see their friends and teachers it fills you with joy. Eden-Olive had such a great day”

Good luck to all you children (and parents!!) out there for the first week back. It’s been a crazy six months but together, we’ve all played a part in keeping children like Eden-Olive well.

Gillybeans is now registering children to start September. If you would like a place for your child please let us know as we fill up quickly. Remember you can choose your days and times. We are also part of the 30 hour childcare offer and run a wrap around service to and from all schools.s in Llantwit. Fees are charged at £4 per hour with discounts for more than one child.

***The next round of applications for the Childcare Offer will open on the 10th June 2019***

Parents can apply for their Childcare Offer funding for eligible children (born between 1st April 2016 and 31st August 2016) from 10th June 2019. If your child is already in Nursery, you can apply now.

All complete applications submitted with the correct evidence by 28th June 2019 will be responded to by 19th July, with a funding start date from 2nd September 2019 (the beginning of Autumn Term).

Incomplete applications received between 10th – 28th June 2019 will take longer to process.
Parents can still apply after 28th June, but funding may not be guaranteed for the start of the term.

Gillybeans playgroup is now open 8.30am=5 pm offering playgroup sessions. Wrap around, pick up from morning nursery and drop off to afternoon nursery, as well as daycare.
