Good Morning šŸ™šŸ’œ

It’s been an incredible, busy & transformational couple of weeks at the wee rest šŸ’œ.

From peaceful pause mini retreat sessions to one 2 one clients working on over coming limiting beliefs & anxiety, it’s been phenomenal- my heart could burst.

I had my big retreat on Sunday House, which was off the scale incredible! Good fun, with amazing people, with a mix of qigong, yoga, nervous system workshop with talk on mindset, a moving mediation, cold water dip & finished with a relaxing meditation & sound bath! What a day!

Yesterday I after my qigong & yoga community classes I was off to Hamilton to teach a yin session with a beautiful sound bath to finish.

Couple of classes today, a whopping 6 classes tomorrow & a boundaries corporate workshop on Thursday means that I’m needing a wee rest!

So I’m taking a few days off from Fri to Tues next week, but I do have a couple of dates the last week in May available if anyone is looking for some REST šŸ’œšŸ™

I am also delighted to be bring my Exhale sessions in June, a gentle breathwork experience that will leave you feeling grounded & blissed out šŸ™šŸ’œ

My heart is full of gratitude for all these amazing sessions, opportunities & being able to do what I love - the ripple effect is simply incredible šŸ’œšŸ¦‹šŸ„°

Happy Beltane šŸŒøšŸ”„

Beltane, traditionally celebrated on the 1st of May, marks a shift into a season of growth, light, and new energy. It sits between spring and summer—a reminder that what we’ve been nurturing is now ready to begin expanding.

There’s something special about this time… a quiet rise in energy, a spark of that fire in your belly—the ideas, the dreams, the things that light you up. Not rushed, not forced… just gently building, becoming.

With it also being the Flower Moon, there’s an extra layer of energy around growth, visibility, and stepping into what you’re ready to bloom into. A powerful time to pause and reconnect with your vision.

For me, it’s about continuing to create space—for myself and for others—to pause, reset, and reconnect to what really matters.

A wee reminder too… without care, protection, and fuel, even the strongest flame can begin to fade. So if you want to keep your fire and your spirit burning bright, it’s important to look after your energy, your body, and your mind. Tend to yourself the same way you would tend to a flame.

If you feel called today, keep it simple…
Light a candle, bring some flowers into your space (or treat yourself to some), and take a moment to sit with your thoughts. Write down what you’d like to grow, what you’re ready to step into, as we move more fully into the light.

Last week was a bit of an open your eyes and take it in kind of moment ✨

I officially passed my breathwork course… now a qualified breathwork instructor, my retreat sold out.
Most of May is fully booked with clients.
The studio has been busy, full, and buzzing.

And when I actually stopped and looked at it all…
I realised how much is really building here.

Not just the work—but the impact.

From helping teenage clients navigate exam stress,
to supporting adults to overcome anxiety and create change on a subconscious level,
to creating space for people to move, laugh, and release…

Nervous systems resetting.
Hearts feeling lighter.
Energy becoming more balanced and unblocked.

That pause to reflect and take it in is so important—
and honestly, it’s something I’m really reaping the benefits of right now, seeing my dream become reality feels incredible! But without the pause I’d miss that - so the pause is as important or perhaps even more important than the progress šŸ™šŸ’–

Because this didn’t happen overnight.
It’s been consistency, belief, and showing up—even on the days it felt hard.

So if you’re building something right now…
take a moment today to look at how far you’ve come.

You might be further along than you think šŸ¤

Yoga isn’t just stretching your body… it’s never been just that.

It’s the pause.
The breath.
The space where you actually feel what’s going on inside you.

Sometimes it’s movement, sometimes it’s stillness… but it’s always doing something deeper.

When you start to bring in things like myofascial release, gentle somatic movement, and a bit of coaching alongside it, that’s where the real shifts happen.

Not forced.
Not pushed.
But felt.

Because so much of what we carry isn’t just in the mind – it’s held in the body, in the nervous system.
The tight shoulders, the shallow breath, the constant buzz of anxiety… it all tells a story.

And when you slow it down, soften into it, and actually listen – your body starts to let go.

That’s where change begins.
That’s where regulation happens.

I’ve always said art is something that creates a feeling … something that moves you.

And I guess now, the studio has become my canvas.
A space where I can create experiences that help people feel, release, and shift.

I’ve created a full-day REST retreat designed to help you slow down, regulate your body, and gently release what’s been building up.

This isn’t about pushing yourself or trying to ā€œfixā€ anything.

It’s about:

✨ letting go of what’s been holding you back

Lots of change work this week Wee Rest Studio I love working with younger clients to create change & understanding that they will carry forward throughout their life.

Understanding our emotions & the mind/body connection empowers our young people & allows them to feel back in control.

Having this beautiful space to work allows me to teach not only the why, but the how & the what.

The connection between the breath & overthinking blew my mind! When we are overbreathing it causes the electrons in the brain to become overstimulated.

When we’re overbreathing—breathing too fast or too much—we actually blow off too much carbon dioxide. And even though people think it’s just a waste gas, it’s key for helping oxygen get into the brain.

So when COā‚‚ drops, oxygen delivery isn’t as effective, and that’s when the mind can start to race—overthinking, feeling a bit anxious, less clear. So it’s not just mindset… there’s real physiology behind it.

As I dive deeper into the biochemistry of the breath it feels like a real expansion of everything I’ve been already been doing. Through movement I’ve always worked with the nervous system, but now as an advanced breathwork practitioner, it’s like the pieces are really starting to click into place. It’s all connecting—breath, body, mind—and it just feels like a deeper level of understanding and impact.

Being able to create physiological changes in the body to support stress and anxiety management takes things to a whole new level!

I am so grateful for my learning, for being able to offer more support and tools that have a real impact!

Yesterday’s Spring Equinox marked a quiet shift… a moment of balance between light and dark, and a gentle invitation into a new season of growth and expansion.

The day reflected that energy beautifully — from teaching to delivering a deeply meaningful workshop supporting individuals on their brain injury recovery journey. It was a powerful reminder of what can happen when science meets ancient practice… when evidence-based nervous system and breathwork approaches are brought together with intention.

The impact of that work continues to humble me.

Over the past year, I’ve found myself naturally drawn deeper into understanding the body — not just through nervous system regulation and breathwork, but also exploring the biomechanics and biochemistry that underpin how we move, feel, and function.

It’s taken my learning to a whole new level… one that genuinely blows my mind at times.

It feels very much like this season — where things are taking root beneath the surface, and the first shoots of new possibilities are just beginning to emerge.

There is a lot quietly unfolding behind the scenes right now.

I’m so grateful for the continued growth of REST, for every client who trusts me, and for the opportunities that seem to be arriving and expanding in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

This season feels aligned, expansive, and full of potential… 🌱✨

I currently have two spaces available for 1:1 clients over the next four weeks. Details of my upcoming REST retreat will be shared very soon…
