From raising awareness during Nutrition and Hydration Week to enjoying the energy and fun of St Patrick’s Day, there has been something for everyone to take part in. We also proudly celebrated International Women’s Day, recognising the inspiring women within our communities, and marked Mother’s Day with thoughtful moments of love, gratitude, and reflection 🌷 🚺 🍎 🍀

The room was set with care, creating a welcoming and cosy atmosphere where everyone could relax and indulge in a special seasonal treat. 🫖✨

Residents enjoyed a delicious selection of finger sandwiches, freshly prepared pastries, and sweet treats, with every bite bringing smiles and moments of pure enjoyment. The morning began with excitement in the air as our lovely residents and staff gathered to make her feel extra special. Josie’s eyes sparkled as her nephews arrived, bringing laughter, hugs, and stories that had everyone smiling 💕

The morning began with our wonderful residents gathering in the lounge, exchanging smiles and hugs as they shared stories of motherhood, family, and cherished moments from years gone by. There was a gentle buzz of excitement as heartfelt cards were handed out, each one a small token of appreciation that carried a world of love ✨

From the moment the day began, there was a real buzz around the home, with everyone getting involved and enjoying the festive atmosphere. The rooms were filled with smiles as residents came together to celebrate this special occasion in style 😄

We are delighted to introduce our new All About the Day board which is now proudly displayed in our home for residents to enjoy and use each day! 💟

The board was introduced this week by our team to help everyone stay connected with the day to day details that make a difference to daily life. It clearly shows the day, date, month, year, current weather and the season, giving residents a helpful and friendly way to stay oriented and engaged with the world around them🌤️📅🌦️

Residents have already been enjoying checking the board throughout the day, chatting with one another about the weather outside and planning how they would like to spend their time. Whether it is deciding on a cosy indoor activity or looking forward to time in the garden when the weather is bright, the board has quickly become a lovely talking point in our communal area. Small additions like this help support independence, encourage conversation and make every day feel organised and positive for everyone in our home😊

There was plenty of creativity and laughter in our communal lounge this week as our wonderful residents came together for a fun filled arts and crafts afternoon at the home 🎨

The activity took place during the day with residents supported by our caring team as they explored two lovely craft activities designed to spark imagination and encourage social time together. Residents spent time carefully threading colourful pasta to create their very own bright and playful necklaces while others enjoyed the calming art of origami, folding paper into beautiful butterflies and charming little jewellery boxes 🦋🍝✨

The session gave everyone the chance to express their creativity, try something a little different and most importantly enjoy each other’s company. It was wonderful to see residents chatting, sharing ideas and proudly showing off their handmade creations as the room filled with smiles and conversation. Activities like this are a fantastic way to support wellbeing, encourage creativity and create meaningful moments that residents can enjoy together!

We are so proud of the artistic spirit in our home and we cannot wait to see what everyone will create next! 💟

From Valentine’s celebrations and pancake making for Shrove Tuesday, to learning about Chinese New Year and enjoying visits from some very special furry friends, it’s been another month full of smiles, creativity and time spent together.
