Research shows that yoga may reduce stress, anxiety and depression in pregnancy.

If you practice yoga during pregnancy, you may have a shorter labour and be more likely to have a vaginal delivery, if that is what you want. Yoga can help you focus on your body and use your breath to stay calm, which may help you during labour.

Starting yoga
If you are new to yoga, look for a pregnancy class. It is a good idea to let your instructor know that you have not done yoga before. They should be able to help you start off gently.

There are many styles of yoga but you may prefer one of the gentler, slower paced styles such as Hatha.

Welcome to Yogis Sonos! I’m Lucy, an avid traveler and yogi with a passion for exploring the world and nurturing the mind-body connection. My yoga journey began in 2012 while traveling through the beautiful landscapes of South America. It was during that time that I encountered yoga for the second time, and this time it ignited a spark within me that would shape the course of my life.
However, it wasn't until a running injury abruptly ended my athletic pursuits that I delved deeper into the practice of yoga. With my athletic chapter closing, I saw an opportunity for a new beginning, and yoga became my guiding light. I immersed myself in the study and practice of yoga, recognising its transformative power not only for physical healing but also for the mind and spirit.
In 2018, I took a leap of faith and started teaching yoga in London. Sharing my knowledge and witnessing the positive impact it had on others was a truly rewarding experience. Seeking to deepen my understanding, I embarked on a transformative journey to India, where I trained extensively in Hatha and Ashtanga yoga. The rich spiritual heritage and ancient wisdom I encountered in India left an indelible mark on my soul.
During my travels, I stumbled upon the transformative practice of sound healing while in Nepal. It was a serendipitous discovery that resonated deeply with me. Intrigued by the profound effects of sound on our well-being, I became a dedicated student of this art, weaving it into my yoga practice. This fusion of yoga and sound led to the birth of Yogis Sonos, where I combine breath-work, yoga nidra, and sound healing in immersive workshops and retreats.
In addition to my passion for sound healing, I have also specialised in pre and postnatal yoga. The journey of pregnancy and motherhood is a sacred and transformative time, and I am honoured to support women through this profound experience. Through tailored classes and compassionate guidance, I aim to empower expectant and new mothers, nurturing their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
I strive to create a warm and inclusive community where individuals can discover the transformative power of yoga and embark on their own personal growth journeys. Through our workshops, retreats, and online resources, I am committed to providing a space where you can explore yoga, sound healing, and mindfulness, and cultivate balance, joy, and inner peace.
