It is great to see Boy George in the Jungle and tapping.

Extensive research into the efficacy of EFT shows that tapping on accupressure points while experiencing unpleasant emotions can reduce the level of discomfort in the body.

While I have noticed that Boy George has tapped using positive affirmations, I recommend the opposite.

The power of EFT is in its ability to interrupt the energy of negative thoughts. So acknowledge the shadow side, say the unspeakable while tapping, and then notice the shift in your physical self and your mind.

Peri-menopause:

Oestrogen and progesterone act as the keys to a myriad of vital chemicals which maintain women’s youth, wellness, and balance.

Fluctuation of oestrogen and progesterone levels during peri-menopause, most commonly beginning during the 40’s although sometimes earlier, can be as unsettling as it is unexpected.

More general awareness and understanding will mean women can proactively navigate the highs and lows through better nutrition, more targeted exercise, and supportive supplement and medication choices.

Even with all these mechanisms in place, peri-menopause can be tumultuous, causing confidence issues, anxiety, depression, shame, and pressurising relationships with loved ones. A combination of careful emotional release and coaching can make a real difference.

I watched a live interview with Poppy Jamie a few months ago; her backstory was convincing.

In this article she discusses the dangers of Perfectionism and how it can lead to chronic stress anxiety and exhaustion.

She refers to the four pillars of her Flex Method which eloquently summarise the work I do with many of my clients:

1. Connection - Acknowledging an emotion: She exerts, "It's very powerful to label, release and accept."

2. Curiosity - Pause, resist the mind's desire to jump to conclusions.

3. Choice - Instead of self criticism, choose compassion and kindness.

4. Commitment - Practice makes the new calmer responses stronger as the old unhelpful patterns fall away.

I feel compelled to congratulate the English Football Team for an extraordinary display of teamwork, focus, discipline, desire, artful skill and courage across the entire European Championships and especially last night.
In my mind, these aspects of the adventure are what is important.
