After 18 months of social distancing, it is possible that some of our immune defences have weakened. Restrictions have been lifted and things are slowly returning back to normal, therefore viruses such as the flu are on the rise this season🦠

Influenza can be contracted through air droplets, or through touching infected objects and then touching your nose, eyes or mouth.

A few symptoms include:
- Fever
- Chills
- Dry dough
- Achy muscles
- Sore throat
- Runny nose

In most cases, influenza clears up on its own after 1-2 weeks, however if you are immunocompromised we highly recommend seeking medical care. A flu vaccination (given once a year) is also available to prevent the beginning of influenza.
