The Queen has died aged 96, Buckingham Palace has announced. The Queen's death ends the longest reign in British history. She was also the world's oldest head of state.

She was head of the Commonwealth, commander-in-chief of the British Armed Forces, and supreme governor of the Church of England. She was also patron of more than 600 charities and organisations.

But above all, we give thanks for her remarkable dedication to duty. Most British people have never known another monarch. She has been an ever-present in our lives, and even now, at 96, she still astounds with her commitment to the country.

Thank you, Ma’am, and God save the Queen!

London’s firms could be the next casualty of the coronavirus crisis as workers continue to stay away from city centres, the industry has warned. 

A sustained drop in the number of and tourists visiting central London could put many dry cleaning businesses at risk of closure. 

The government has launched a campaign to get workers back into offices due to fears that city centre economies could collapse without the usual influx of commuters. 

The latest figures from Springboard showed that footfall in central London was down 55.4 per cent year-on-year last week, although it increased 6.8 per cent compared to the previous week, 

The figure has fallen to five per cent after the coronavirus lockdown. 

In comparison, other major global cities have reported a stronger recovery.

However outer London has rebounded as people have continued to work at home.

As a business, the health of our team and customers is our priority. We want to support the easing of restrictions in line with the government recommendations for caution and care.

For the continued safety of all who shop and work with us, we will be keeping some measures in place in our stores, such as enhanced cleaning protocols, till screens, access to hand sanitiser and floor markings to help prompt social distancing for those who still wish to use it.

Facemasks are optional for customers and our team members but Government guidance recommends they are still worn.
