What a great day we had on Saturday at our Summer Fête!
There were stalls, a BBQ, live entertainment—and loads of fun!
All raising money for the South East Cancer Help Centre.

Last Friday, we hosted the St Marks Dementia Community Café at Purley Gardens. It was a delightful afternoon filled with fun, laughter, and joyful moments for all involved.

As part of our ' ' experience, we took a delightful trip to Italy. Our residents enjoyed a delicious selection of Italian cuisine, followed by wine tasting, interesting facts and discussions about the country, and a beautiful opera performance to end the afternoon. It was a truly lovely day for everyone!

During Carers week, Purley Gardens celebrated our wonderful carers who enjoyed a picnic in our glorious garden. They spent the afternoon enjoying the sun and winning prizes, playing games and bingo with our residents. Thanking the team for their dedication and superb care, our residents handed out hand made cards they created in their Arts & Crafts activity.

We had an invigorating exercise session with the lovely Jo Dalton in our dementia community who always brings energy to the group. Her musical selections draw a crowd and residents thoroughly engage with this lively session.

On Friday, we continued our event with a celebration of Africa, exploring its rich culture. We enjoyed delicious food, traditional palm wine, and staff members shared knowledge about their own African regions. It was a truly enjoyable afternoon!

📢 Welcome to the May edition of Avery Talk!

Last month, we celebrated Easter with lots of chocolate, furry friends, and joyful festivities across our homes. Residents enjoyed Easter egg hunts, springtime crafts, and shared many heartwarming moments together. We also marked milestone birthdays and wedding anniversaries, making April a truly special month.

Our wonderful residents enjoyed a VE day 80th Anniversary street party themed event. We had a day of celebrations and remembrance with a delicious buffet of food and drink. Residents sung and danced along with our afternoon musical entertainer, Phil, who rolled out a thoughtful and enjoyable repetoire of tunes for their delight.

Such a meaningful day for everyone.

On 30th April here at Purley Gardens we continued our event which was Thailand . We spent the day learning about the country and heard story's from residents who had visited Thailand. Our Amazing Kitchen Team made some delicious food that went with the days themed event.
