Here you will find my views on why we all need the magical teachings of the ancient art of yoga and meditation to heal us physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Yoga is a wonderful bedfellow to grow and nurture as we move through the years.
I am a yoga teacher, a journalist/author and a trainee psychotherapist. I've authored a best selling Amazon book about my own life struggles https://www.amazon.co.uk/Yet-Here-Am-Womans-Story-ebook/dp/B07KC2ZWGC and I co-run the multi-channel wellbeing platform www.rockmyage.com where we coach people to live their best possible lives.
But here I hope you will join me in a welcoming and healing community for people who are curious of how yoga and meditation can help you live better, calmer and more purposeful lives. I am a huge advocate for talking therapies but I think somatic healing of the body is equally important - and can sometimes be a gateway into emotional and spiritual growth.
I've had a daily yoga practice for 30 years. It healed me physically after breaking my back on a horse and later in life provided a constant place of restoration and peace as I dealt with heartbreak and loss.
I have carefully crafted my style of yoga for people who want to delve deeply into how the practice can support them- especially as we age. I have a deep interest in supporting people to use yoga to heal from trauma and general life difficulties. I have no interest in pretzel poses and am uncomfortable with the gym style yoga sessions that seem to so miss the point. That said yoga is a wonderful way to keep a toned, strong and healthy body as we age.
Coming up will be workshops, limited number yoga sessions and hopefully lots of interesting conversations around what we all love.
