When it comes to hot essential oils, for example oregano, dilution is mandatory. Otherwise, the oil can irritate or cause discomfort on skin. But hot oils are not the only ones that need to be diluted. This is an important step when it comes to kids, pregnancy, sensitive skin or elderly and it’s recommended to ask your consultant for advice.

Carrier oils also serve to spread the essential oils over a larger area, without the therapeutic benefits being diminished. By increasing the surface area where essential oils are applied the topical benefits are even greater. Plus, the carrier oils do not evaporate as quickly as the essential oils and this way they will both be absorbed more efficiently into the skin.

I love Jojoba oil for my face and Fractionated Coconut Oil for my body and hair.

✨When I first heard of essential oils, I was skeptical because I had no idea how they work or how they can be used. The only thing I knew was that you can diffuse them and the room will smell very nice. Months later, when I was ready to receive more information about them and when I experienced them personally I started to dive deeper into studying the benefits of these precious little bottles. ⁣

✨So what are essential oils? Aromatic molecules that give plants their distinct aroma, they have been used for thousands of years and are currently being studied for their profound health benefits, including their antiseptic properties and their ability to help lessen pain, ease feelings of depression, enhance memory and decrease inflammation, among many other benefits. ⁣

✨Only by inhaling the essential oils, they have many benefits on the body and mind because our sense of smell is closely tied to the limbic system, which controls emotions and long-term memory. Through topical or internal application, essential oils are able to pass into the bloodstream and travel to any areas in the body. It takes 22 seconds for them to reach the brain, in 2 minutes the molecules are found in the bloodstream and in 20 minutes they affect every cell in the body. ⁣

✨An essential oil is like a toolbox, and its chemical constituents are like diverse tools with different functions and uses. Not all tools work the same, but all are necessary to build a house. Similarly, not all essential oil constituents have the same function, but they all cooperate in achieving a desired therapeutic effect. ⁣

This restful complex is an unique supplement that combines the powerful sedative and anti-anxiety effects of lavender essential oil and l-theanine with Melissa, Passionflower and German Chamomile extracts to help calm, soothe and prepare the body and mind to enter a relaxed state of sleep.

Serenity has helped me have a restful, deep sleep and on the nights when I only had a few hours of sleep, I still woke up feeling rested and ready for the day.

Have you tried Serenity Softgels yet?

I loove Ylang Ylang for my skin. It’s used in many skin treatments and is amazing for anti-aging, oily skin, sensitive skin and it improves elasticity. Plus, it has many other incredible benefits like balancing the hormones, sedative, calming and aphrodisiac.

I like to dilute it with a few drops of jojoba oil because of its nourishing, protective, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits. Even though it is called an oil, it’s technically a liquid wax, similar to collagen and sebum.

After allowing the oil to be absorbed into the skin, I love to use the Hydrating Cream from doTERRA. First of all it’s natural as I don’t like to put any kind of toxic ingredients on my skin (don’t put anything on your skin if you can’t eat it). Also, this cream is a combination of essential oils known for their abilities to soothe and balance the skin’s natural moisture levels. It contains probiotic extracts that help speed the skin’s replenishment process and it leaves the skin looking more youthful.

Have you tried a few drops of Lemon in your water? Adding citrus essential oils is my trick for drinking more water. Beside the fact that is making it so tasty, they are uplifting, invigorating, refreshing and helps balance the pH.

Currently, this is my favorite combo to diffuse during the night (3 drops Lavender, 2 drops Eucalyptus). I looove the smell of these two combined and the benefits are incredible.

Lavender is one of the most versatile essential oils and traditionally has been known to work wherever there is a need, balancing the body and mind. It’s mostly known for its calming effects and that’s why I like to diffuse it often in the evenings. For skin, I dilute it with jojoba oil and apply it on my face before my moisturizer and it helps with acne, aging, oily skin, sensitive skin, dark spots and elasticity. I also use it if I burned my fingers in the kitchen, appling very often on the spot and there was no blister and no pain. Another benefit of this wonderful oil is the support with pain relief and that’s why I always reach for it when it comes to headaches or menstrual pain. It works every time and it’s definitely the oil I use the most.

Eucalyptus is one of the most effective when it comes to respiratory conditions. It helps with breathing by purifying the air in the room, with inflammation and pain relief, being a very good support for headaches by massaging the area. Also, Eucalyptus has powerful antimicrobial effects, his main component being eucalyptol.

What are you diffusing for a good sleep?

Zengest for me is one of the oils that I’m always careful not to run out of. It’s an incredible support for the digestive system on a daily basis, and also the one I reach out to whenever I feel any stomach discomfort. It can help with bloating, constipation, cramps, food poisoning, heartburn by massaging the area with a few drops, diluted with coconut oil or by taking 2-3 drops internally in a veggie cap.

The amazing oils that are used to create this blend are Ginger, Peppermint, Tarragon, Fennel, Caraway, Coriander and Anise.

Plus, because the oils are so versatile, Zengest is amazing when used for a stuffy nose. It can decongest the sinuses quickly by massaging a few drops on the nose.

! Careful not to put any essential oils in the nose or eyes. If this happens, do not use water as this will make it worse, but use a base oil (coconut, jojoba, olive oil etc.) to dilute it !

Why choose doTERRA when you can find essential oils even in some supermarkets for a lower price? As with many other products, you get what you pay for. The essential oil market is not regulated and companies often dilute them, add in chemicals and they end up not having any therapeutic benefits. A few of my reasons for choosing doTERRA are:

Purity - doTERRA does 54 tests for every batch of essential oils in house and uses a third party, rejecting any batch that doesn't pass. Using pure essential oils allows us and our families to get all the benefits that nature has to offer and to be confident that they are safe to use (look for CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade on the labels)

Source - every oil sold by doTERRA is responsibly and sustainably sourced from their native location. This way the plants have a better chemical profile, increasing the efficiency of the oils. Plus, the company works directly with the farmers, investing in the community and protecting the environment.

Transparency - you can verify the test results from doTERRA and from the third party company for the bottle in your hand by introducing the ID number on sourcetoyou.com.

Research - the company is constantly investing in research to remain at the forefront of essential oil science. Through partnerships with research facilities, hospitals, and universities, we’re learning more about the therapeutic potential of essential oils.

Education and Support - all the information about essential oils can be overwhelming sometimes but by getting introduced to doTERRA by a consultant, I felt supported, I could read hundreds of testimonials and learn how to use them myself. Plus, there are so many books, e-books or videos to make it very easy for everyone who wants to learn more about oils.
Don’t hesitate to direct message me if you would like to know more about the company or the essential oils!

I have a very strong connection with Adaptiv these days. I was obsessed with the smell from the first time I opened the bottle and I prepared a 10ml roll-on with 30 drops of Adaptiv topped up with fractionated coconut oil. I use it all day as a natural perfume on my arms and back of my neck and it helps me deal with the feelings of stress and anxiety.

What is in this blend?

Orange - reduce anxiety during stressful situations
Lavender - calming abilities
Copaiba - ease inflammation and pain
Spearmint - uplifting and it helps relieve mental strain and fatigue
Neroli - has powerful soothing psychological effects
Sweet Gum - helps relieve feelings of anxiety and stress

I absolutely love this blend! Have you tried it yet and do you have any experiences with it?

Immunity - one of the very important subjects talked about these days. Our bodies are so intelligent and know how to keep us healthy and to defend us from various threats without us even thinking about it. But for our bodies to do this, we should look at our actions and observe our thoughts - are we supporting our bodies or are we actually working against them? From food, water, movement, reducing the toxic load to managing our stress and rest, everything is influencing our wellbeing, and of course our immunity.

This blend has been a big support for me and my family whenever we need a boost. If I feel the first signs of a cold, I would either take these oils in a capsule, or add them to a roller and use it on the bottom of the feet and the spine and I would be back to normal very quickly.

Capsules: 1-2 drops of each oil, 2-3x a day.
Roller: 10 drops of each oil, every few hours (for kids, please ask your consultant or DM me)

Let’s see why these oils:

Frankincense | anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, expectorant, immune stimulant.
Lemon | antiseptic, antioxidant, antiviral, refreshing.
Oregano | antibacterial, antiseptic to the respiratory system, antiviral, immune stimulant.
OnGuard | protective blend | antibacterial, antiviral, immune stimulant.
Tea Tree/ Melaleuca | analgesic, antibacterial, anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory, antiviral.

Share with us how are you helping your immunity stay strong all season!
