New Scrambled Tofu Recipe - Tag A Tofu Lover 🫶

Ingredients:

280g extra firm tofu
1 tbsp hummus
1 tbsp nutritional yeast
3 tbsp water
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp chilli flakes
1/2 tsp coconut oil
1/2 tsp salt

Method:

In a bowl combine the hummus, water and nutritional yeast. Whisk until ingredients are combined.

Drain tofu and squeeze out excess liquid with kitchen roll.

Melt the coconut oil in a medium sized sauce pan.

Break the tofu into big chunks then crumble into the pan. I like mine really quite crumbly but it’s really up to you if you like a smaller or larger crumb.

Add cumin, turmeric, cayenne pepper and chilli to the tofu and mix well, then cook for 5 minutes, stirring regularly until slightly golden.

Take the pan off the heat and add in the hummus mixture and stir until all combined.

Put the pan back on the heat and cook for another 5 minutes.

Taste and season with salt as necessary.

The perfect summer sweet treat… That also helps you sleep! ☀️

One of my absolute favourite snacks in the summer is frozen cherries! 🍒

You can buy them in bags, keep them in the freezer and they make the perfect sweet treat after a meal.

Because they’re frozen, they’re like eating little ice lollies!

But because they’re a natural source of melatonin, they’re also great at helping you sleep 😴

So if you haven't tried frozen cherries yet, this is your sign to buy a bag of them when you do your next food shop! 🍒

From rising panic to a calm night's sleep 💤

Our dog, Bramble, has been very poorly recently, and the other night, it sent me into panic mode.

My mind went into overdrive. I was googling and letting my mind go to worst-case scenarios 😫

I could feel the anxiety rising and the panic taking over, so I decided to reconnect with my body through breath work and meditation.

I started with breath-work to take the edge of the the panic, slow my heart rate, stop the tingling and dizzy sensations I get when I panic, regulate my breathe and start to move me out of fight or flight. Once the symptoms had started to ease I moved onto meditation.

👀 For the first 5 minutes, my thoughts were crazy all over the place, I could feel the tears welling up, the want to just do anything other than meditate.

💭 10 minutes in, the pace of my thoughts started to ease, and I started to feel the sensation of anxiety drop further.

😌 By the time I’d finished, I felt more grounded and significantly less anxious. I was able to think more rationally and put forward in my mind evidence to the fact that Bramble would likely be ok and that my panic was triggered by a previous event when he had been incredibly ill.

This allowed me to have a good night's sleep, which meant my body could go into rest and digest rather than sleeping like it was waiting for a tiger to pounce!

I woke up feeling better and more regulated, which meant I had more energy, was able to work out, wasn’t tired and generally felt ready to face the day calmly and confidently.

From previous experience I know if I hadn't have chosen to do the breath-work and meditation in that moment I would have lain awake for hours, probably got myself into even more of a state, had minimal sleep and spent the next day in high anxiety, not worked out and eaten a load of rubbish.

This is the power of breath-work and mediation!

Want to learn how to properly use it for yourself so you can prevent anxiety, regulate yourself and make better choices for your health?

Are you trying everything to feel better or lose weight… and still not seeing results?

It’s so common for women to jump straight into complicated plans, cut calories too low, or push themselves harder – only to end up exhausted, frustrated, and stuck.

But here’s the truth 👉 your body can’t thrive if the foundations aren’t in place.

✨ The basics that change everything:
👉 Eating 3 balanced meals a day
👉 Prioritising enough protein and fibre
👉 Getting high-quality, restorative sleep
👉 Daily movement (even walking counts!)

When you master these, your body feels safe.
A safe body = a calmer nervous system = better sleep, more energy, fewer cravings, and a metabolism that actually works with you.

From there, adding practices like meditation and mindfulness only amplify your results.

✨ Master the basics and you’ll be amazed at how much easier everything becomes.

💌 If you’re tired of spinning your wheels and want a personalised plan that finally works, DM me ‘HEALTH’ and let’s chat about how I can help you feel better, lose weight, and feel confident again.

Your biggest obstacle to being sober👇🏻

If you’ve been drinking since you were a teenager and are now in your 40s, simply stopping drinking alcohol is going to be a struggle if you don’t replace it with something.

It’s likely, like many people, that you use alcohol to relax, have fun, reduce social anxiety, wind down, and destress… the list goes on!

So if you’re serious about cutting alcohol out of your life, you need to replace it with something else to support you.

I found a combination of meditation, journaling and breathwork helped me the most!🧘🏼‍♀️

Each helps me to manage my stress and anxiety and helps me to focus on maintaining healthy habits like eating better and exercising.

And one of the best parts about being sober is that I’m never too hungover to maintain these habits! 🙌

If you’re just beginning your sober journey, I recommend starting by implementing meditation.

You can use an app or, if you can, I recommend doing a course to build up consistency and a strong practice.

I recommend the or , but there are loads of other places across the UK.

And if you want to hear more about my sober journey, listen to my Podcast episode with the info is in a pinned post.

There’s a huge difference between cutting down on alcohol and not drinking at all.

Having a few nights off here and there is not the same as being fully alcohol-free. The shift is massive.

For me, it took about two years of full sobriety before I felt the real change.

Now? I don’t think about alcohol. I don’t miss it. I don’t crave it. It’s not part of my social decisions or mental load.

It’s not just that I don’t drink — alcohol has no place in my life anymore. It’s not controlling my thoughts or pulling at my energy.

When you’re still drinking — even occasionally — the thoughts are constant:
“When’s my next drink?”
“I’ll just have a few…”
“Maybe one big night this month.”
Guilt. Shame. Negotiation. Noise.

When alcohol is gone — truly gone — so is all that mental clutter.
The peace is next level.

If you started drinking at 15 and have never had a stretch of sober adulthood…

You’ve never actually met your fully present, alcohol-free self.

Let that sink in.

Read this if you're feeling overwhelmed with your health

There are so many diets, regimes, outputs, and tips online at the moment, and it’s overwhelming.

Especially when most of the health advice you see is conflicting and complicated.

So, as a registered nutritional therapist, here is my professional advice:

Go back to basics.

Focus on the basics first, and if you can do them 80% of the time, you’ll see real benefits.

So, what are the basics?

😴 More sleep, aim for 8 hours per night.
🍫 Less sugar and processed food
🏃🏻‍♀️ More movement- try to do some form of exercise every day, even just walking.
🧘🏼‍♀️ Daily meditation or breathwork practice
🥦 Focus on eating whole foods
🍷 Low or no alcohol

Implementing these basics consistently can work wonders for your health.

Once these become your normal and you’re consistent, then you can worry about supplements, biohacking, etc. Because they’re just like the cherry on top!

If you want more tailored advice and help with your health and nutrition, visit my website to explore how we can work together to enable you to live your healthiest and happiest life (without the confusion and overwhelm) 🤍
