Laughter, dancing, seaside games, and beautiful connections filled the day. From pinning the tail on the donkey to our staff’s cheerful performance, every moment was pure sunshine. 🌊🎶💃

Thank you again to everyone who joined us, including the lovely Civic Mayor of Croydon Chris Chatterjee – and of course, our amazing residents and team! 💙

🌞 Summer by the Seaside at Cedar View! 🏖️

We had a splendid time at our annual Summer Party, bringing the magic of the seaside right to Cedar View Care Centre! 🐚🦀 From hook-a-duck and our very own sand pit to pin the tail on the donkey, there was fun for everyone! 🎯🎉

A huge thank you to our special guest, Civic Mayor of Croydon Chris Chatterjee, who kindly took the time to speak with every resident – your presence meant so much to us. 🙏🎖️

Our amazing entertainer Rob. T kept everyone dancing 💃🕺 and to top it all off, our fabulous staff performed a lively rendition of “Oh I Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside!” 🎶🌊

What a beautiful day filled with smiles, music, and community spirit. 💙

🌟 Coombe Wood School Visits Cedar View Care Centre 🌟

15 amazing students aged 13–14 from Coombe Wood School visited Cedar View Care Centre for a heartwarming and inspiring day. 💬👵👴

They met with staff to learn about careers in social care, gaining insight into the rewarding work of caring for others. 🩺💙

The students also spent time chatting with residents, hearing incredible life stories, and even enjoyed a fun quiz together! 🧠🎉

A truly meaningful experience that brought generations together and left smiles all around. 😊❤️

🎾🍓 Wimbledon Vibes at Cedar View! 🍰☕
We served up a smashing afternoon at Cedar View Care Centre with our special Wimbledon Tennis Afternoon Tea!

Residents enjoyed a lively quiz, delicious strawberries & cream, and plenty of laughs as we reminisced about tennis memories from years gone by. The atmosphere was full of cheer and Wimbledon spirit! 🏆💚

🌈✨ A fabulous burst of color, love, and glitter hit Cedar View Care Home today as the incredible paid a special visit to celebrate Pride Month! 💃👑

Our residents were dancing, laughing, and sharing stories of love, acceptance, and self-expression. Pride knows no age, and today proved just that. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Croydon South’s MP, Chris Philp, paid a visit to us at Cedar View Care Centre.

As part of Care Home Open Week (16–22 June 2025. He joined residents and staff for a warm tea and chat session—engaging with the care home's community and discussing important topics such as dementia support and local health services .

Care Home Open Week is a nationwide initiative held this year between 16 and 22 June, aimed at connecting care homes with their local communities and highlighting the great care provided—often including events, open days, and resident-staff meetups .

Chris Philp shared on social media that he “accepted an invite today from Cedar View Care Centre in Park Hill to join residents and staff to chat over tea,” demonstrating his active support during a key week celebrating social care milestones .

"Meet Poppy, our sweet therapy dog, spreading love and joy at the care home today! 🐾💖 Her gentle cuddles and wagging tail brought so many smiles to the residents' faces. There's truly nothing like the comfort and companionship of a furry friend. 🐕

"Spreading love and creativity in the garden today and making the most of the warm spring weather 🌸✨ We had the most heartwarming time making flower pots with our wonderful residents. Their smiles and stories made every moment special as we made beautiful flower pots together . 💐🌿 It's amazing what a little bit of nature and teamwork can do to brighten someone's day!

As part of Hydration and Nutrition Week, our catering team embraced Global Afternoon Tea day by baking a delightful selection of cakes. The residents thoroughly enjoyed the treats, which added a special touch to the week’s celebrations and helped promote socialising and well-being. It was a wonderful opportunity to combine nutrition with a bit of indulgence, bringing joy to everyone involved.

Today, Park hill infant school visited our care home and shared the joy of reading with our residents. 📚💖 The kids read beautiful stories, bringing smiles and sparking cherished memories.
