The perfect choice to bid farewell to a farming man. Today's funeral had so many guests, there was significant overflow of both chapel and car park. What a send-off.

Thank you for this kind review from last week's client:
"Very grateful to the choir for their performance at my uncle's funeral in Bristol. Neither of the pieces were standard funeral repertoire, and the very limited rehearsal time in the crematorium chapel was less than ideal, but their performance and professionalism was exemplary."

Today was our first visit to Canford Cemetery and Crematorium, for the perfect tribute to a lifelong classicist: readings from Cicero and Catullus, and Callimachus' tribute to his friend, set to music by Stanford.

A benefit of singing at funerals is the stunning churches we see. Today's funeral was for a gentleman who had loved classical music and opera. In addition to Faure's In paradisum and hymns, we gave a miniature concert to guests arriving, which included Purcell, Byrd, Mozart, Parry and Csmpion.

Today we sang at the funeral of a lady who was born in 1925. Imagine what her memories must have been! By request of the family, our versatile soloist worked with a flautist and organist to create a special piece of chamber music, bringing something unique to this well-loved funeral solo.

Today we performed Tavener's "Song for Athene" in the shadow of Windsor Castle- a fitting locale for a piece closely associated with a royal funeral (that of Princess Diana, in 1996).

A moving review from last Tuesday's loving daughter: "Your timing & delivery at the graveside were second to none. I will never forget the sights & sounds of an incredibly emotional day in which you sang whilst my beautiful maman was laid to rest & the sun shone upon us."

"All things bright and beautiful": a perfect choice for today's choir solo as we honoured a lady who loved beauty and animals. A glorious Autumn day in the heart of chocolate box Kent.

Today we returned to this beautiful church to sing Franck: Panis angelicus, Parry: Crossing the bar, and Campion: Never weatherbeaten sail- for a gentleman who was truly larger than life and quite a character! We weren’t able to record today, so here is a snippet of our last visit.
