A major milestone for patients in the UK.

For the first time, official police guidance has been published to help officers recognise and respect lawful MC prescriptions. Officers must treat patients as patients first, not suspects, when handling stops and encounters. This aims to reduce confusion, stress, and unnecessary stops for patients, more than seven years after legalisation.

The Grow Access Project is back and better than ever ✨ The GAP has officially relaunched today, with expanded support designed to improve access to prescribed medicines for those who may benefit most.

Eligible patients can now access:
• 10% off any brand of c*nn*bis medicines when dispensed by Petal & Bud Pharmacy
• Reduced clinic fees via Auravia Medical

The scheme is open to patients who are:
✔️ Receiving income-related or disability benefits
✔️ UK Armed Forces veterans or serving members
✔️ Blue Light Card holders
✔️ UK students aged 18+

Prescriptions from any clinic can be sent to Petal & Bud Pharmacy for medicine access. We've expanded the project because improving accessibility isn’t a one-time project, it’s an ongoing commitment.

The Advisory Council on the Misuse of Dr*gs (ACMD) has opened a Call for Evidence to review the impact of the 2018 changes which first introduced access to medical 🌱 in the UK.

The review will consider whether the legislation has achieved its objectives, identify any unintended consequences, and make recommendations on how the framework could be improved. It's open to healthcare professionals, researchers, academics, importers, manufacturers, patients, families, people with lived experience, regulators and enforcement bodies.

At Grow Group UK, we welcome this review as a constructive step towards improving access for patients and supporting prescribers and the wider industry.
