Day 16 . I’m not going to lie fatigue slapped me right in the face today, but there’s one end goal in mind pushing me on and it’s nothing to do with my body 😅 59 days to go. Who’s stupid enough to try it? 🚀 🥵 🤠😁🙊😈☠️

4.5 litres of water a day
Read 10 Pages a day
1 45 min workout a day

Yoga is more than just a physical practice of stretching and posing. It's a way of life that teaches us to connect with our inner selves and find balance in our minds, bodies, and spirits. One of the most important lessons that yoga teaches us is that life is not about how many times we fall down, but about getting back up.

In yoga, we learn that falling is just a part of the practice. We might lose our balance or find a pose too challenging, but we're encouraged to keep trying. Every time we fall, we're given an opportunity to learn and grow. We can identify our weaknesses, work on our strengths, and cultivate patience and persistence.

Off the mat, this same lesson applies. Life is full of challenges and setbacks, but it's not about avoiding them altogether. Instead, it's about learning from them and using them as opportunities to become stronger and more resilient. It's about developing the mindset that no matter how many times we fall, we'll always get back up.

When we fall in life, we might feel discouraged or defeated. But we must remember that falling down is not failure. Failure only happens when we give up and stop trying. When we get back up after a fall, we're showing ourselves and the world that we have the strength and courage to keep going.

So the next time you fall in your yoga practice or in life, take a deep breath, dust yourself off, and get back up. Remember that falling is just a part of the journey, and it's the getting back up that counts. By doing so, you'll become stronger, more resilient, and more capable of overcoming any obstacle that comes your way.

In yoga, the practice of drishti (gaze) is a powerful tool to enhance your concentration, balance, and awareness. By directing your eyes to a specific point or direction, you can quiet your mind, strengthen your muscles, and connect with your breath.

🧘‍♀️ Whether you're practising a balancing pose, a twisting pose, or a challenging sequence, using a drishti can help you stay present, focused, and aligned. Instead of looking around, getting distracted, or losing your balance, choose a point of reference that you can anchor your attention to.

🌟 Some common drishtis in yoga include:

Nasagrai drishti (gazing at the tip of the nose) for standing poses and inversions
Broomadhya drishti (gazing at the third eye) for seated poses and meditation
Hastagrai drishti (gazing at the hand) for arm balances and twists
🌈 Experiment with different drishtis and notice how they affect your practice. Remember that your eyes are not just windows to the world, but also portals to your inner self. Use them wisely, and see the magic unfold. 🙏

Dear beginner yogis, I want you to know that you're doing amazing! 🙌💜

Starting a yoga practice can be intimidating, but don't worry, you don't have to be flexible or have a perfect body to start.

The beauty of yoga is that it's a personal journey that's different for everyone. It's not about how far you can stretch or how long you can hold a pose, it's about being present in your body and connecting with your breath.
Remember to be patient and kind to yourself. Take your time with each pose and listen to your body. If something doesn't feel right, modify or rest. There's no need to push yourself beyond your limits.
And most importantly, have fun with it! Don't take yourself too seriously and enjoy the process. Embrace the imperfections and be proud of yourself for showing up on your mat.

You're already making progress by taking the first step. Keep going and don't give up! You got this. 🧘‍♀️🌿

Upward dog is one of my favourite yoga poses, and for good reason. It's a powerful backbend that can help us find strength, flexibility, and freedom in our bodies and minds.
To do upward dog, start by lying face down on the ground with your palms flat on the mat next to your ribs. Inhale deeply, then press into your palms and lift your chest and hips off the ground. Keep your shoulders relaxed and your elbows close to your sides. Hold the pose for a few breaths, then exhale and release back down to the ground.
One of the amazing things about yoga is that it can be done anywhere, including the great outdoors. Practicing yoga in nature can enhance the benefits of the practice, allowing us to connect more deeply with the world around us and find a greater sense of peace and harmony.
In particular, outdoor yoga can help us:
* Reduce stress and anxiety by immersing ourselves in natural surroundings
* Improve our balance and focus by adapting to changing terrain and weather
* Deepen our breath and increase our lung capacity by taking in fresh air
* Strengthen our muscles and bones by practicing on uneven surfaces like grass or sand

Low lunge, also known as Anjaneyasana, is a powerful yoga pose that stretches and strengthens the legs, hips, and thighs while also opening the heart and lungs. It's a great pose for beginners and experienced yogis alike, and it's perfect for adding to your regular yoga routine.

To practice low lunge, start in a high plank position, then bring your right foot forward between your hands, making sure your knee is directly above your ankle. Lower your left knee to the floor and slide it back until you feel a stretch in your left thigh and hip flexor.

As you inhale, raise your arms overhead, palms facing each other, and gaze upward. Take a few deep breaths in this position, feeling the stretch in your hips and thighs.

To deepen the pose, you can bring your hands to your right thigh or to the floor on either side of your right foot. Hold the pose for 5-10 breaths, then release and repeat on the other side.

Low lunge is a great pose for improving flexibility in the hips and thighs, which can help alleviate lower back pain and improve posture. It also helps to stretch the hip flexors, which can become tight from sitting for long periods of time.

In addition to its physical benefits, low lunge is also a great pose for mental and emotional wellbeing. It can help to open the heart and cultivate feelings of gratitude and compassion.
