We are sharing this because the proposed cuts to Newham’s library service are deeply worrying — especially for vulnerable residents. For many adults with learning disabilities, libraries have become their only safe community spaces. Please consider adding your name to this petition — every signature helps.

Sign the petition - Save Newham Libraries - Stop the Proposed 50% Budget Cuts! Newham Libraries are a lifeline for our community. But the Council is thinking of slashing our library budget by 50%. This could mean closures, staff cuts, and service reductions. Every week, Newham Libraries provide: The...

Special thanks to Jack for hosting! 👏

And a lovely opportunity to honour our Managing Director, Alice Amponsah who is departing for Maternity Leave soon. ❤️

Throwback to a few weeks ago on 11th November when Jack, Bella & Cynthia delivered our second session of the Tier 2 Oliver McGowan training to Newham Council staff!

We have now trained 60 Newham social care staff 🥳🥳🥳 and……

Over 90% of attendees said that the training has made them more aware of the needs of autistic people and those with learning disabilities within social care services AND that the training gave them ideas for things they can do to better support autistic people and those with learning disabilities 🙌🎉

We are excited about the positive impact this training is having on our local social care team, and look forward to training more health & social care professionals over the coming months 😊

AGM Reminder!😀3.30pm on Thursday 27th November 2025 at the Jack Cornwell Centre. Looking forward to seeing you there! 💜
