When the Body Lets Go – A Spring Grief Release Retreat.

Are you carrying grief that feels heavy, stuck, or overwhelming — held in your body, your chest, your muscles? You don’t have to carry it alone.

Join me on Saturday 11th April, 1:00 PM – 5:30 PM, for my very first grief release retreat in collaboration with .margarets.house .

In this women-only, held space, you’ll experience my special somatic grief-release movement practices, reflective rituals, and a deeply nourishing sound bath — all designed to help your body release grief, restore calm, and feel lighter and transformed.

✨ What to Expect:
• Gentle somatic grief movement to help emotions move through the body with ease and regulation.
• Rest, reflection, and integration time for you to meet yourself with kindness.
• A sacred flower mandala ritual, crafted with intention and meaning.
• A closing sound bath & Yoga Nidra meditation, deeply nourishing and held by vibrations of bowls, chimes, gongs and more.
• Light refreshments, tea, notebooks and a thoughtful take‑home reminder of your journey.

💗 This retreat is for you if:

You are navigating a loss of any kind, holding long‑term grief, feeling overwhelmed, emotionally heavy or shut down, and would like a non‑verbal, body‑based approach to move and be with your experience without pressure.

No previous experience with somatic practices is required — just a willingness to be held with compassion and gentle guidance.

Come as you are. Move, breathe, and let go in a safe, supportive space. 🌸

Eid Mubarak ✨🌙

Today, as many celebrate, I hold both joy and grief in my heart.

This is my 17th Eid without my mum.
17 Ramadans without her.
17 times feeling the space she left behind.

Soon, it will be 18 years since she passed, and still, Eid does not arrive without her memory.

Eid was always sacred in our home — a time of love, faith, family, warmth, and celebration. And when someone you love is no longer here, these special days can feel different forever.

As a grief specialist, and from my own lived experience, I want to say this gently:

✨ if you are grieving someone this Eid, you are not alone.

✨ If your heart feels heavy today, you are not alone.

✨ If their absence feels louder on a day that is meant to be joyful, you are not alone.

✨ if you are smiling and hurting at the same time, you are not alone.

There is room for grief on holy days too.

There is room for love, remembrance, tears, and tenderness too.

And to those celebrating today, may your Eid be filled with peace, blessings, and love.

Eid Mubarak to all — especially to the hearts carrying someone they wish was still here. 🤲🏻

Grief movement changed how I relate to my own loss.

It helped me move from constant heaviness to moments of calm… and eventually, joy.

That’s why I hold these spaces now.

Grief lives in the body — and the body deserves gentle support.

Mother’s Day isn’t joyful for everyone.

As a grief educator, I see how this day can stir emotions that are often hidden — especially in a culture that only celebrates one version of motherhood.

Grief can sit quietly beneath the surface or it can rise up unexpectedly.

This year, I’m offering a gentle online space to breathe, move, and honour whatever Mother’s Day brings for you.

Whether you are grieving a mother, a child, a relationship, your fertility, or simply a version of yourself — you are welcome.

Ramadan Mubarak 🌙.

To those carrying grief this month — may Allah hold you gently.

May your tears be honoured, your memories be a source of light, and your heart find moments of ease between the waves.

If this Ramadan feels heavier than before, please know that nothing is wrong with you. Grief does not pause for sacred months — it simply asks to be witnessed.

As a grief educator, I want you to know:

✨Your tears do not weaken your faith.
✨Your exhaustion is not a spiritual failure.
✨Your longing is love continuing.

If you need a space to breathe, to move, to sit with your sorrow — I am here. 🤍

You do not have to carry it alone this Ramadan. 🌙

Valentine’s Day can be a beautiful celebration of love — but for many, it can also quietly highlight the absence of someone deeply missed.

If you are grieving a partner, a family member, a friendship, or the relationship you once hoped for, please know that you are not alone. Love does not end when someone is no longer physically here. It changes shape, but it remains part of your story.

This week on February 11th, at Grief Café, we will gently hold space for conversations around relationships and relationship loss — the love that was, the love that is missed, and the complicated feelings days like Valentine’s can bring.

You are warmly invited to join us exactly as you are. No need to have the right words. Your presence is enough.

🤍 A space to share
🤍 A space to listen
🤍 A space to be held in community

When: February 11
Where: St.Paul’s Way Centre
Time: 10-12:00

If your heart feels tender this week, come sit with us.

✨ Our first Women’s Wellbeing Gathering ✨

30 amazing women came together.
To breathe.
To share.
To be heard.

For over 2 years, Breathe.Move.Heal CIC has supported over 100 women across Tower Hamlets through our wellbeing sessions—and now, with this first community consultation & co-production space, women’s voices are helping shape our future.

Women from diverse cultures gathered in a space that was welcoming, safe, and supportive, where everyone could feel comfortable sharing their experiences.

As Sylviya shared in her testimonial:
“This event made me feel that I belong to this community—not just this group, but my neighbourhood in general, although I moved here not long ago in this part of London. I love the inclusiveness and diversity. In these divisive times, it’s something we should share. Love thy neighbour!”

Priority themes chosen by women in Working groups:
• Anxiety & stress
• Menopause
• Mindful movement & yoga

Feedback forms showed women felt connected, inspired, and a true sense of belonging.

Thank you to all the lovely women who joined—you are superstars! ✨

A special thank you to St. Paul’s Way Community Centre for providing the venue and to Arisya for the beautiful candles and art therapy by Sylviya making the space so welcoming 💛

We’ll be gathering every 3–4 months, with our next event in May for Mental Health Awareness Week.

Because wellbeing works best when it’s created with the community, not just for it. 💛
