National Workforce Skills Development Unit Collaborating across healthcare to develop the mental health workforce and support their wellbeing.

The National Workforce Skills Development Unit was established in April 2017 by NHS England Workforce, Training and Education in collaboration with the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. The Unit facilitates the development of the mental health and learning disabilities workforce while supporting the mental health and wellbeing of health and care staff. We deliver projects with a national focus on workforce issues, working with key partners to advise and develop the education infrastructure, delivery mechanisms and competencies necessary to improve mental health services for clients and patients throughout England.
