Did you know that nearly one in a hundred women living with HIV in Britain are as*xual? (Public Health England, "Women and HIV in the UK", Oct 2019). While understudied, some research suggests ace people face a greater burden of HIV stigma, because of the association between having HIV and having s*x.

Last night we hosted a focus group with Black women living with HIV to learn more about the barriers and opportunities of digital health tools (like the NHS app).

Long Covid is a chronic illness caused by the COVID-19 virus, with symptoms including extreme fatigue, chronic pain, and brain fog.

Research shows people living with HIV are more likely to develop Long Covid.

The term "Long Covid" was introduced by activist Elisa Perego to describe her own lived experience. The meaningful involvement of people with lived experience in research and their own care is integral to supporting people living with Long Covid—just as it is for people living with HIV.

We advocate for and provide access to effective peer support for people living with HIV to improve HIV knowledge, confidence and connections. We provide one-to-one personal support, delivered at our premises in Islington, and through weekly outreach at 15 HIV clinics across London. We are positive. We can help.
