I heard about the Feng Shui concept before but I only delved deeper into it when I was doing my health coaching qualification 🤓

The Feng Shui philosophy is that human life is being connected and flowing with the environment around it 🎍🪵🪴🕯Therefore, the way objects are arranged in our environment is incredibly important as they create balance with the natural world.

In Feng Shui, the bedroom is considered as the most important room in the house. So here are a few tips to keep in mind:

▫️Ensure the bed is in command position, meaning you can see the door when you lie down and it’s not behind your shoulder as this can subconsciously create a feeling of fear and unrest.

▫️Keep the colours to soft neutrals to ensure rest and rejuvenation (creams, beige, peaches, soft pinks etc..)

▫️Keep things in pairs (two bedside tables, two bedside lamps). According to Feng Shui, if you have these objects as 1 rather than a pair, you might be single for a while. Unless this is the goal, try and keep things in pairs 😊

▫️Art work - if you choose to have any avoid images of water in the bedroom, or any violent / aggressive / lonely / sad imagery. It is believed that any art object or decor item in your bedroom is very important, as the energy of your bedroom is directly related to your state of health, your relationships, and your general well-being so only keep things there that truly speak to your heart ❤️

▫️Try and keep it for relaxing only. No working, clutter or paperwork

▫️Make it as cozy as possible with soft blankets, throws and pillows

With the second lockdown here in London and in some places around the world I thought I would share a few wellness tips 🤍

▫️Add essential oils to an oil burner or diffuser, citrus scents like orange, mandarin and bergamot boost your mood and happiness. Or choose ones depending on how your would like to feel...for example to de-stress or for clear thinking. Aromatherapy candles are also great 😍

▫️Put Epsom salts in your bath or use a salt based body scrub as it gets rid of negativity and stress

▫️If you have a Juicer, experiment with squeezing your own juice (I’ve been loving fresh zesty orange, mandarin, apple and ginger) 😋

▫️Move your body daily

▫️Walks in Nature

▫️Experiment with cooking (true health starts in your kitchen)

▫️Meditation

▫️Nourish your body with delicious wholefoods to get the essential nutrients your body needs

▫️Try a new exercise routine to de-stress and feel more balanced (like tai chi / yoga / stretching)

▫️Occasionally treat your self to chocolate for some endorphins (but opt for dark chocolate, has to be at least 70%+ cocoa 😉)

▫️Try alternating hot and cold water while in the shower for so many great benefits such as improving your circulation, immunity and detoxification

▫️Now that we have some extra time, work on a health concern that you’ve been neglecting 💪🏼

▫️Read / listen to something motivational and inspirational each day (even if it’s just 5 mins)

▫️Fresh flowers for your home

▫️Pick up a hobbie that you’ve always wanted to do as creativity attracts more creativity = more ideas 💡(I’ve recently been painting again 👩🏻‍🎨)

What is a Health Coach? I got asked this question a few times this week so I thought I would clarify and also explain the benefits from hiring one 😊

A Health Coach supports and guides clients to make positive health and lifestyle changes with a 360 approach to wellness - integrating nutrition and lifestyle.

The approach is bio-individual and the program is tailored to each person. We work together to identify your wellness goals and come up with a plan that works best for You and Your lifestyle with solutions that work and last.

We also dive into the root cause rather than just painting the leaves green.

Now it’s more important than ever to make sure we are healthy and bullet-proof internally, whatever is going around next. Prevention is key and it all starts with our Health (both internally and the things we do daily to fortify our health / nurture ourselves).

As I work with career focused professionals, the focus is mainly on the following:

- Strengthening immunity, increasing energy levels and sleep quality
- Reducing stress and anxiety
- Preventing illness

However, the approach is bio individual so we address other issues and imbalances too.

Health is your greatest wealth and it’s the #1 obstacle in your success and Life in general, so make sure it’s your top priority 🤍🕊
