Who am I?
My name is Abbie, a qualified personal trainer and weight management coach. I have been in the industry now for 7 years.
I decided to become a personal trainer, through my own well-being journey.
I tried all kinds of diets to get a flat stomach, slimming groups, special K, slimming pills, baby diets. I signed up to gyms paid for a membership for two years whilst only attend the induction and maybe a few classes in the first month. I just thought I was the problem and didn’t have the will power to become a slim girl.
I joined a gym for the 102nd time, and at this gym was a welcoming face training what I thought at the time “normal” girls. .c_b and decided to purchase some sessions. And this decision changed my whole life.
Then outside of my sessions I managed to identify, I was actually drinking a bit too much, and this habit that I loved was causing me to be miserable. Not drinking didn’t make me boring, it made me stronger and happier. I learnt about the benefits of healthy food, and my mind became strong to create a life that I want, not just dreamed off.
The changes didn’t happen overnight, they happened slowly. Chipped away with each session I attended. But with the right support I didn’t notice the time, and leaving a session getting stronger or being able to run further I was enjoying the journey. And now I look back and think wow it’s been 7 years since I smoked, it’s been 9 years I been exercising now. The time has flown, which is does so naturally.
None of this would have happened without the support of Louise, which is what inspired me to be a personal trainer to help people the way she helped me.
Over the years I have gained not just my Personal Trainer qualification, but my pre and post natal certificate, GP referral which enables me to teach individuals with chronic illnesses. I also got a diploma in weight management - making me a weight management coach.
So you see I don’t just have the experience but have studied hard to get the education too.
