Who am I?

My name is Abbie, a qualified personal trainer and weight management coach. I have been in the industry now for 7 years.

I decided to become a personal trainer, through my own well-being journey.

I tried all kinds of diets to get a flat stomach, slimming groups, special K, slimming pills, baby diets. I signed up to gyms paid for a membership for two years whilst only attend the induction and maybe a few classes in the first month. I just thought I was the problem and didn’t have the will power to become a slim girl.

I joined a gym for the 102nd time, and at this gym was a welcoming face training what I thought at the time “normal” girls. .c_b and decided to purchase some sessions. And this decision changed my whole life.

Then outside of my sessions I managed to identify, I was actually drinking a bit too much, and this habit that I loved was causing me to be miserable. Not drinking didn’t make me boring, it made me stronger and happier. I learnt about the benefits of healthy food, and my mind became strong to create a life that I want, not just dreamed off.

The changes didn’t happen overnight, they happened slowly. Chipped away with each session I attended. But with the right support I didn’t notice the time, and leaving a session getting stronger or being able to run further I was enjoying the journey. And now I look back and think wow it’s been 7 years since I smoked, it’s been 9 years I been exercising now. The time has flown, which is does so naturally.

None of this would have happened without the support of Louise, which is what inspired me to be a personal trainer to help people the way she helped me.

Over the years I have gained not just my Personal Trainer qualification, but my pre and post natal certificate, GP referral which enables me to teach individuals with chronic illnesses. I also got a diploma in weight management - making me a weight management coach.

So you see I don’t just have the experience but have studied hard to get the education too.

Buggy Fit is back next Wednesday the 9th of Jan.

The class itself is made up of cardio, strength, mobility and stretching exercises to target different elements of fitness. However the class isn't just about the exercise, it is a great way to get out the house and meet like minded people.

The format is set in a circuit style class, with different options given. So if you had a sleepless night, the night before or if you got 8 hours straight you can choose the intensity you want to work at.

Then after class if you have time we can grab a coffee.

Don't have a buggy that's fine! You are more then welcome to join. This class is open for all.

Classes are £10 pay as you go, or you can get a bundle of classes to make it cheaper. Want to give us a go first? Get your first class for just £5 all you need to do is use the code BUGGY.

You guys are amazing!! Thanks to your support we have hit our first £100.

The charitiys I am fundraising for are small charities and they both provide for our children here in the Lewisham borough from bubbas up to young adults. Bank of Things Lewisham MammaKind are absolutely amazing and this money will go so far. Bank of Things Lewisham MammaKind

🏃‍♂️ “If you are going to let the rain stop you, anything can stop you.”

I peaked my head out of the studio and saw the rain hitting the puddles, and said to one of my team mates, don’t know if I should run tonight as it’s raining, to which he replied with the above.

So with my new rain jacket out I went. I did initially want to do 5km, but I ended up shortening the run so I could be home in time to see to Ralph (some is better then none). This distance is now starting to feel really comfortable (even in the rain ☔️). Hopefully I get to hit that 5km mark in the next few days.

Not long till race day now…25 days. I know Christmas has just gone but any donations you can afford would be amazing. I am currently half way to my first £100.00. Would be great to hit it.
