7th January I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (breast cancer) with lymph node involvement. I am about to begin 20 weeks of chemotherapy, followed by surgery, radiotherapy, and long-term treatment.

Due to my symptoms being repeatedly disregarded, my condition worsened and I had no choice but to seek private medical care. So far, I have personally funded £5,225 worth of urgent diagnostics — mammograms, biopsies, CT scans, MRIs, nuclear medicine and specialist consultations — just to get answers.

My best friend has started a fundraising page to help me recover those costs and fund the surgery I now feel safest having privately.
