Todays the day!!!!
Two Surgeries become one and we will continue to provide excellent care across both sites.
Please bear with us in the early transition stages as our IT systems will still be amalgamating until 14th April, and whilst we hope for smooth sailing this is unchartered waters and we are all adjusting.😀

Be sure to give Lyndhurst Road Medical Centre a follow so you can stay up to date with all surgery updates

NHS APP FOR BURSTED WOOD SURGERY PATIENTS

An email has gone out to our patients that are using the NHS app. Please see below:

As you’ll be aware, Bursted Wood Surgery will become part of the Lyndhurst Medical Centre in April.

As a patient who uses the NHS App, we are writing to let you know some important actions you may need to take once the two clinical records systems merge which happens between 10-14 April.

What is the change?

In the NHS, every surgery has an ODS code. Your NHS App and any other GP linked Apps are currently linked to the Bursted Wood Surgery (BWS) ODS code. However, on 10 April that ODS code will be deactivated and you will not be able to use any of these Apps until 15 April when you will need to link your Apps to the Lyndhurst Medical Centre (LMC) ODS code.

If you originally registered your NHS App using photo ID, your account should automatically update, and your registered GP should have changed to Lyndhurst Medical Centre. If this is the case, no action is needed.

What actions do I need to take if my Apps haven’t updated on 15 April?

1. If you access your NHS App on or after 15 April and no longer have access to your medical records, you will need to delete your NHS login and setup a new one.
2. When you log in you will be asked to manage your NHS account, from there you can select ‘delete your saved details’.
3. Once you have done this you will be able to re-register within the NHS App, selecting Lyndhurst Medical Centre as your GP.
4. You will not be able to do this before 10am on 15 April 2026
5. Patients who use MyGP App, Patient Access and others, will be required to uninstall and reinstall the app and you will need to request a new linkage key from the surgery.

What support is available if I cannot re-register the NHS App to LMC?
· We will have in person technical support in the BWS surgery available from Wednesday 15 April for two weeks.
· We will also have a drop-in help centre for ‘in person’ technical support in the New Hope Church Hall, Lyndhurst Road on Friday 17 April from 1pm to 3pm. · The NHS Digital Team have also put together some helpful videos.

Kind regards,
Bursted Wood Surgery
