Remember when we used to finish the week with a Yin/Yang class on Sundays? I‘m bringing it back in the form of a workshop on November 6th.🤗

Expect a grounding practice that helps you to release some of the stress of the often hectic autumn season. We move from a more dynamic Vinyasa practice into Yin Yoga. Give yourself time to slow down and learn how you can nourish
your body and mind during autumn.

As the autumn season is associated with the lungs and large intestine in Traditional Chinese Medicine we will spend a good amount of time focusing on the powerful impact of pranayama (breath work) during the workshop. We will talk about the many physiological and psychological benefits of regular breath work and you will gain more experience in modifying the pranayama techniques so you can make sure you’re practicing them in a way that is safe and beneficial for you. After the workshop you will be able to start implementing these techniques into your daily life.

To make it even more relaxing and cozy, we will heat up the studio for the second part of the practice.🥰

More information and booking is available on my website.

Handstand Workshop 🤸🏼‍♀️

So happy to bring this workshop back. We will work on everything you need to feel more comfortable and confident balancing on your hands: strength, mobility, technique, overcoming fear, …
It will be a fun and playful environment to test your limits in a safe space. As both a Yoga teacher and former gymnast I will help you find different ways of entering and exiting a handstand from both a yoga and a gymnastics approach and give you personal guidance on what you need to work on specifically to improve your handstands. You can then use the drills and exercises to continue working on your handstands after the workshop.
The workshop will be limited to only 10 people.

Save the date:
Saturday, September 3rd, 2-4pm

I can‘t wait to see you there. Booking is now open via the link in my bio.

The importance of hand placement during arm balances.

My online classes will give you many chances to invert this week. Expect several little handstand drills as we will bring our focus to the way we use our hands in order to prevent wrist injuries, improve hand and shoulder placement and gain greater control when trying to find balance on our hands. Are we excited? I am.😁

Join me online, Tuesday and Thursday mornings. More information through the link in my bio.

Photoshoots with the talented .photography are always a lot of fun.

Hip mobility. Why is it so important?

Spring is finally upon us and I hope you get to spend some time in nature to appreciate all the beauty surrounding us during this season.
In class this week, we will focus on the element water and its connection to the hips. We will aim to find a sense of flow and ease as we will practice hip-opening postures such as Pigeon pose, Baddha Konasana and move into more advanced arm balances that require a good amount of hip mobility as well. When our hips are tight, we tend to compensate in other areas (our wonderful bodies are smart and always try and find an efficient solution). But one area that tends to be particularly affected is the lower back: By increasing the load on our spine because of tight hips, we often experience an overuse of the spine. Through yoga postures that target the hip, we can decrease back pain and improve overall range of motion and circulation in the hip. We will talk more about the energetic significance soon, but this week will focus more on understanding the physical implications of hip mobility.
