Sometimes we feel that our healing is about the big experiences, thw big releases we often see on social media. It’s makes us wonder why it’s not happening to us or whether we are doing it all wrong.

As a holistic therapist who sees people healing and growing everyday, I want to say you are not doing it wrong. Healing happens when our body feels safe and this can take time. So it’s not about the big releases, it’s actually more about the subtle changes that happen over time. It’s about how your awareness grows and sometimes it will lead to a more profound moment. But that’s only part of the greater picture.

Some of what we see on social media can be performative, it can also be forcing a reaction when the body is not ready (often leading to re-traumatization), so more is not always better.

Your body and your inner wisdom will always be your guide on the journey. So chances are you are not doing it wrong..it’s moving at exactly the right pace 🙏🏽🙏🏽

How often do we say do we say ‘I am stressed’. Its almost like it’s become the catch all phrase when we feel emotionally or mentally unable to cope. It is important to recognise when we are feeling like this. However, being more specific in our expression, can really help to get to the root of the problem. It may also give guidance to what you can do next to resolve the issue.

For example, if you are feeling stressed at work perhaps overworked, what it could really mean is that you feel angry that your workplace does not value your personal time. By articulating this, your next action might be to put some boundaries in place or have a conversation with your manager.

Also, language is really important, so by replacing the ‘I am..’ to ‘I feel’…it recognises the transient nature of the emotions, rather than it being part of your identity. This may help release some of the heaviness that comes with the emotion and also help the emotion come and go with ease.

One thing that I always want to say to my clients when we are in my therapy space. Please don’t feel you need to apologise when you are feeling your emotions. This is the one place you don’t have to apologise.

Please don’t feel embarrassed. Let yourself cry if that’s what you need.
I know you have been holding too much.
It’s ok to feel overwhelmed.
I know these emotions need an out. It’s what your system needs more than anything to regulate.

That’s my role here. To hold space.
There is no judgement here. Just a space to let go and process what you are feeling.

It’s ok to have sessions that are primarily this. This is also healing.

Not everything your brain is telling you is always true. It comes from our perspective, our beliefs and our biases.

So a suggestion would be to challenge those thoughts that are not serving you and seeing the evidence that shows tye truth.

We turn 3 this month!!
Who would have thought?

From my desire to spend my Sat mornings with a wonderful group of women, sharing my passion of reading and deep talks.. here we are.

So it’s time to add more..alongside our in person, we are going to try an online gathering. So if you can want to join from the comfort of your home do come along..

It’s honestly one of my highlights for the month and I have met so many wonderful souls. Together we learn, together we rise..and lots of laughs along the way ❤️❤️

I had the pleasure last week to offer mini Soul Plan readings this weekend at a wellness event and what I enjoy most about this connecting you to the Soul energies that have come with your Soul. Actually it’s not only connecting, but also activating those energies as we bring awareness back to them.

What’s beautiful to observe, is how when I spoke about the energies there was this deep knowing of these energies within, rather than being surprised by it. Every person that I spoke with about their Soul Plan chart, were aware of the energies being there, on some subtle level. Together we spoke of their purpose, but they were honest about what was holding them back. Whether it was fears, time or different life priorities. So maybe this reading was the calling...calling you back into alignment with your Soul Journey.

This is an offering that I don’t speak enough about, and my time on Saturday reminded me that I should be, given it can be such a powerful tool of guidance and exploration. So if you are interested in knowing the energies, your learnings, your gifts, your goals and purpose that came with your Soul in this lifetime, this reading might be for you. It’s about hearing the calling...

As a recovering people pleaser today, I want to talk about the two sides that we experience when we are people pleasers.

From the outside, others see us as polite, kind, loyal, giving, caring, attentive, easy going, motivated & reliable. These are beautiful traits, except when it keeps us over giving, seeking approval & and ignoring our own needs.

What we often then feel on the inside is - burnt out, unappreciated, resentful, stressed, anxious and then on top of that we feel bad for feeling these things and that brings out our inner critic.

When we get to the root of it, it is a pattern we have learnt to cope, to avoid conflict and ultimately to belong. So, it really is about slowly unpacking this and exploring how we see our self-worth. It’s about reconnecting to our own needs and ultimately working towards setting boundaries, so we don’t get drained in the process.

It’s about keeping our cup full, so we can present our best self from a place authenticity and self-love and share that with others in our lives.

This is a group hypnotherapy session where we will focus on stress management and working through some of the most common root causes.

Our session will be on Zoom so you can enjoy this from the comfort of your home.
