Do you know how to cope with your emotions?

Most of us do not.

We are not taught how to cope with our emotions. How to deal with our emotions when things get tough. Things will always get tough because that’s the nature of the world that we live in.

Things will be great. And things will be tough.

How do you want to show up?

How do you want to cope with your emotions?

Do you want to eat over them or do you want to be fully present with your life?

Most of us cope with our emotions by eating over them. I did this for many years and sometimes I still do.

It is something I’ve worked hard to stop doing and it is what I work on mostly with my clients.

Creating a life where they don’t need to cope with their emotions by over eating. Creating a life where they find other strategies to cope with their emotions.

This is true freedom.

It has been for me and it can be for you too.

Quick win Wednesday

Today I’ve been focussing on drinking more. I definitely find that when I don’t drink enough water, I tend to feel more mentally drained. I do feel a lot more focused and sharp when I drink enough water.

Enough water will be different for everyone. As a benchmark, I aim for a minimum of two litres. But that’s my personal optimum for me.

Some of my clients can have way more than this and others have much less.

I always have a full glass next to me while work and take sips regularly. I always carry a bottle of water with me as I’m driving around.

Little things like that all add up to huge wins.
